Title: Canadian Football League Viewing Thread
Post by: Pete on July 18, 2014, 10:15:37 PM
ESPN2. Right now!

so I turn the game on, and Hamilton was leading Calgary 4 to 0.

Fun fact:  KSU Cat Banks is playing for Hamilton.

Anyway, I cannot rough ridin' figure out how Hamilton scored four points.  No idea how that even happens without safeties.

But, there are loads of guys I recognize from college football

Calgary stadium looks a lot like a big division 2 school, or a small Division 1 school. However, it seems to be packed.

It's so rough ridin' weird. It's like, almost all of the rules are the same, but then there will be some calls that the refs make, or some other references that the announcers make that just make you say what the eff is going on?

Its kinda like "Hell yeah I'll take a slice of Canadian Bacon!" but you'd never choose it over American Bacon

Look in the background behind their Jumbotron or at either end of the stadium actually, and it looks like they have like rough ridin' dog kennels or horse barns or some crap like that

Do you guys think that running backs in Canadian fantasy football are like how we think of field-goal kickers in the NFL fantasy football?

Seems close to that, but it's like really wide.

Brandon Banks is costing his team big-time right now. Need to get his head in the Canadian playbook

It's on, it was at the half.

Oregon's old pot addict QB Masoli is the Hamilton QB.

The mother rough ridin' halfback pass is a legit real staple of their offense

If I win a big lottery, I am going to buy a CFL team, and it will be nothing but Big 12 players. Of course, it will be mostly KSU Cats.

I'm watching now and, can I just say, I'd like to be the "schmoozer" guy in your front office.  Also, no Winnipeg

Hamilton is basically greater Buffalo/Detroit

Buffalo sucks so bad I wouldn't work there unless you used your lottery winnings to increase global warming to make it like Richmond VA at least

Let's warm this bad boy back up. 100 yard fields? NOT ENOUGH, make em 110. 10 yard endzones? please, make em 20. 4 downs? make it 3. The rouge? Yes please.

Are you a BC Lion, or a Hamilton Tiger-Cat (Brandon Banks is STILL there). William Powell is a rough ridin' Roughrider (GO RIDERS). You Argonaut? or Blue Bombing? Stampeding or an Eskimo Elk. Or an Alouttes.

Anyways, if you need a new Friday night tradition this fall, turn on ESPNEWS and let's watch some CFL baby.

GO RIDERS

I’ve tried to get into it before. I can’t get past the 3 downs. Make it 4 & I’m all in.

Well, since I'm up here and it's taking place less than 45 minutes away, it's the Grey Cup. FUN FACT, regardless who wins (Winnipeg or Toronto) and KSU Qhat will get a ring (Dalton Shoen and Brandon Banks for each team respectively). In addition, both teams get to freeze their asses off, so I hope they have fun with that
