We'll probably eff around and win the conference again.

I want to believe that Tre will be able to play good enough defense to not be the biggest liability on either team at some point, but I just can't see it. I hope he mushes me right in my face.

I hesitate to call Tre Harris a DITR, but I am leaning towards the possibility that Ol' oscar found another good baller who was being over looked.

He could be a pretty good 3pt specialist off the bench.

Weird thing to say before he's ever played a game.   Is he just not good or something?   Like Jack Krap not good?

I don't think Tre harris will be a defensive liability for the cats, he's got great size for his position. I believe this is just another case of oscar mushing the haters.

You have to say something that's not completely positive about a basketball recruit before I can take anything you say about a recruit seriously.

Tre Harris wasn't offered by his uncle who is an assistant at Tenn. I didn't look over the past few months out of embarrassment but I'm going to assume we ended up being his only BCS offer. His skillset starts and ends at 3's. He will come in at ends of games in which we're down 6-10 points and chuck up 3's. And maybe for the occasional end-of-the-shot-clock or halftime 3. That's it.

I can't name one player in the history of time for K-State that subs in late in a game to chuck up threes who doesn't play regular minutes. This will be a wait and see process.

I'm not ready to oscar off Tre by any means. He is not a Jack Krap. Did we reach in offering him? Maybe, but we didn't get another commit to move out Jack so I don't see it as a big deal having him on the squad. I have confidence in this staff to cut people loose if we need to open up scholly space.

All he needs to be is a better shooting Will, there is a role for him as long as he can defend his position. If he can't defend his position he is gone, but he not like Jack Krap where he needs to overcome his lack of athleticism and size to have a chance. He has great size for the 2 or 3.

He reminds me of a more athletic, less offensively talented Fred Brown in person.

Notice I said "might." Beasley wasn't necessarily jump out of the gym athletic...I think he would give Walker a run for his money as well.

I never said Beaz couldn't get up, I just personally would give JE the slight edge. Walker and (since I totally forgot about him) Judge were likely the two most athletic guys at KSU in my lifetime. I guess I just don't remember Beaz throwing down insane reverse alley oops in games...

If Edwards truely has a 46" max vertical it is easily the highest post Huggins. Probably the highest for the entire big 12 for that era. Mike's max vert was 35".

I was always afraid people would forget about Mike and Bill, especially Bill. People forget how huge they were for our program and how rare of just raw talents they were (for us, anyway). They were the #1 and #5 recruits in the country. Yes, Walker had unforgivable crap nights (Texas) and he left too early. But he was still a damn good player for us and even more of a freak athlete considering he never really played healthy here.

Billy's KSU career was too short and very bittersweet.   He was rushed in at semester, injuries, etc.   He really got mumped by the one year rule.  Had he been able to go straight to the league, he's guaranteed top five.

It's very hard to believe Edwards is going to be better than Marcus or that he is one of our most athletic players ever. I'm gonna go in thinking he is good for about 7 pts and 2 Rebs a game and if he does anything better it will be a nice surprise for me.  Good luck to all of you who think he's going to be our best player.

It's fun to think that he might be our best player though. Would be pretty neat.

Yeah, if he's somehow better than Foster, I'll be happy as hell.

The BID team will have to turn in their matches.

I was pretty staunch BID but I don't have much to bitch about so far...

I would expect more than 7 pts. and 2 rebs a game. I'm hoping for at least 12 and 5.

Me too!

Jack is still here tho.

He won't be next year.

I'm not sure. As bad he looked last season, it sounds like the staff still loves his game. His HS highlight tape isn't terrible either.
The one with the closeup of him tying his shoes?

Yeah! I thought he demonstrated tremendous athleticism ;)

I would be extremely shocked if it's not much closer to 12 & 6 per game.

I ran the simulation and ended up with 11.7 and 4.8 with a standard deviation of 27.6%

I approve of neither the Henry name nor the teeny FIBA basketballs they have to use.
