Title: South Park
Post by: The Big Train on June 15, 2014, 11:45:49 PM
So I have been watching since I was in 5th grade, that was like during season 3-5, I have been hooked ever since.  What is your guys favorite episode and subject?

Since we just honored KK the Chipoltaway/Toddler's and Tiara's episode has been on repeat.

But there are so many fantastic episodes which deal with political and social commentary.

Yes and yes. I should watch current episodes more regularly (I rarely watch)

The Cheesing episode is fantastic

It is pretty hilarious. I like the Joseph Smith Mormon episode a lot, and the Obama election episode (that parodied Ocean's 11). Lots of fun episodes South Park has.

i only watched a couple seasons of south park. i liked the weapons of the far east episode the most.

the book of mormon is top notch both as a musical and as comedic entertainment.

My nephew is coming to visit in July and he is my excuse to go to Casa Bonita for the first time

some south park is hysterical, some is just meh. really depends on how knowledgeable you are on the thing theyre making fun of.

the legal marijuana/big balls episode is hilarious. scott tenorman is a classic. joseph smith one is great.

my favorites- world of warcraft and imaginationland series

The only Casa Bonita I ever went to was in Tulsa and they didn't have any cliff diving or anything cool like that so when I saw the South Park episode I was like "What the hell is all that? That is all just made up crap that isn't really at Casa Bonita."

As many have mentioned the "Casa Bonita" episode is amazing. I went on a couple of ski trips as a Kid and we would always stop at Casa Bonita on the way.

I think the best thing about south park is how they have transitioned from potty humor into making fun of current trends/events.

Fun Side Story- In 6th grade art class I made a clay cartman figure eating cheesy poofs. The art teacher refused to display it in the schools front display case with all the other kids figures because it was "offensive". I believe it is still at my parents house somewhere, will try and snap a picture of it sometime soon.

These are all really good episodes you guys.  Any episode with Towelie is pretty good, like the one when he works at the summer camp that Timmy and Jimmy go too.  The episode with Jimmy taking steroids is pretty great and then Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, and Jason Giambi show up .  The baseball episode where the boys are trying to lose and Stan's dad keeps getting into fights.  The restaurant war one with City Wok, and the Whale Wars one, man so many great episodes you guys.

I had a pretty great South Park related moment about a week ago. I was at Powercat Sports Grill with some friends and I ordered an Old Fashioned. The waitress was like "Whaaaaaa...." and I told her it was on their drink menu. She ran off to put the order in and my buddy leaned over and said "Hey I think she thought you meant a South Park Old Fashioned."

Which totally makes sense!  Because why else would a waitress react pretty much like this   :sdeek:  after somebody asks for an Old Fashioned?

I just caught this and am trying to understand what it means.  They're older than us "now".  If they're older than you now, they've always been older than you.  I feel like Wacky was passed 4th grade in the fall of '97, so they'd still be younger than him.
