Still too cold here, and the compost isn't nearly as ready as expected, but still excited for this new year!

One year my mom had a tiny lemon plant in a pot on her patio.  Would guess you could do with limes too

Those are usually Meyer lemons and suck.  I haven't heard anything about the dwarf limes, though.

Ben Ji, I was inspired by this thread and I have mapped out my spring flower plan for my front and back.  Do you still have a hookup anywhere?  I need some Black Eyed Susans and Purple Coneflowers.

My "Hook up" is just my lil brother who works at a greenhouse. When they transition from spring/summer/fall they throw away all the extra plants left over from the season and he will grab some flats and take them home. Its usually late in the season for the annuals he brings home and most die once it gets too hot. Its pretty awesome for perrienials though as you just plant them and they come back twice as big next year.

I never really request anything, I just come home and there are a couple of flats of random flowers laying in my backyard. I'll let you know when the first flowers start showing up in my backyard around late may early june. You can pick through them like those american pickers guys you love to watch on the history channel.
