Anyone want to guess what place the PAC 12 was in RPI? Well it was high. Very high. Strong RPI conference. Now gonna go check the PAC 12 conference BPI ranking but pretty sure I know the answer to this as well.

you wouldn't be all over HCBS, and wouldn't have been so upset about the loss. So much going with this group of guys.. off court crap, guys not focused, HCBS had no other options at this point in the season on rotations.... He didn't trust CF's D to guard at this level- you saw Stanford go right at him on an easy backdoor play on CF's 1st D possession.. was HCBS worry all year... Guys not finishing at the rim all year... He knew he had his hands tied when Ebiid went down too..

So much going with this group of guys.. off court crap, guys not focused, HCBS had no other options at this point in the season on rotations.... He didn't trust CF's D to guard at this level- you saw Stanford go right at him on an easy backdoor play on CF's 1st D possession.. was HCBS worry all year... Guys not finishing at the rim all year... He knew he had his hands tied when Ebiid went down too..

I'm glad someone finally came out and said this. I mean the pud conference that my Hawks play in does nothing to help prepare a team for the NCAA tourney. This loss is on all you pud teams who make it so easy to roll through the Big XII year after year (10 years to be exact). :shakesfist:

Kansas has 2,101 all time wins (2nd all time), 57 conference titles (most all time), 14 final fours (4th all time), yet we only have 3 championships since the inception of tournament in '39 (with 7 schools having as many or more, with 4 of those schools having significantly more). Are we simply unlucky? Do we put more value on the regular season then most programs? Or have our player perennially up-tight come tournament time?
It's a frustrating anomaly and the only statistic Kansas lacks behind other blue bloods.

I love Bill Self, but half the games we've lost in the tournament during his tenure have been trash.
Bucknell was trash.
Bradley was trash.
Northern Iowa was trash.
VCU was trash. (Yes, they were trash.)
Stanford was trash.

Self is an underachiever and just a flat out bad coach. I won't shed any tears if he goes to the NBA. Good riddance to him.
I don't care how many league championships he's won. Regular season league championships are worthless. Ask the 2007 Dallas Mavericks if they remember their 2007 regular season western conference championship. I guarantee you that if Self has an early tournament loss next year, he will be on the hot seat....as he damn well should be.
They had 4 more days to prepare for their game with Stanford than Kansas did. You think that might make a difference? If Kansas plays Standford with 4 days to prepare I would bet Kansas wins without issue.

This! Makes me want to vomit. This Stanford team is so mediocre & seriously lacking athleticism. Dawkins bent Self over & had his way w/ him all day long. It was a complete coaching mismatch. & don't give me the crap about Self can't be out there shooting for the players. That garbage chokejob is all on Coach Self....he stunk as badly as a coach can stink in that game & it is becoming a trend in the NCAA tournament. Best coach in the country regular season, but a very, very mediocre postseason coach. BTW, postseason is what really counts. Nobody but us gives a crap about 10 in a row in a weak conference

The statistical evidence I saw showed Frankamp was worse than Sprads as a Frosh. I don't think the stats you requested are available as its really hard to compare a black player to a white one.

It's the weirdest duality that KU fans grapple with, never seen a fan base that was so insecure about their success. It's like Warren Buffet being jealous of Bill Gates reclaiming the richest person in the world title, except you know, in a hobby sport so maybe bitcoins or something is a better analogy than cold hard cash.
