the only part of the whole night i caught was when a person was talking about her six year old w/ down's that reads above grade level and then i think attempted to extrapolate that up to people making the best with what they are given in life and picking themselves up by their bootstraps.

I didn't catch any of this year's SotU or responses. Did Obama mention "the science is settled" or "debate is over" on "climate change"? I hope he did, because that would have been a funny contrast with it snowing yesterday in Florida.

Tom Harkin and George Miller have a bill to fix that by lifting the minimum wage to $10.10. This will help families. It will give businesses customers with more money to spend. It doesn’t involve any new bureaucratic program. So join the rest of the country. Say yes. Give America a raise.
That would be a disaster economically. Man. Please do not do that Mr. Pres.

IMO, the reason they need to do this is when they unleash 15 million illegals on the minimum wage job market it will drive everyone on the low end (most already making more than minimum wage) down to minimum wage.
Only 2% of the work force makes minimum wage, and nearly all of them are under 25.
