Stoops was just on Cowherd's show. Colin asked him about his "SEC propaganda" comment. Post-Sugar Bowl Stoops said he stood by his comment because he was just stating truth. He said the top 2 or 3 teams in the SEC are good, but the rest aren't, as all remaining teams were "0 for 31 against the top teams". He then added more to his argument by saying " What about missouri and texas a&m? Nobody talks about that. They were in the big 12 for a hundred years and didn't do anything. Now they go to the SEC and the cause problems over there. Why is that? Nobody talks about it, but that's a fact."

This may not be the thread, but I've caught bits and pieces of the 'baum today, and I need to add that, well, Bob Stoops has been a full on bon-a-fide stud in the last two OU games in light of the fact that he was being seriously questioned in OU country.
If K-State won two games in a row like that I would have to seek medical help after 4 hours.

"Think about it: mathematically we play everybody, they [the SEC] don't play everybody," Stoops said. "For instance Texas A&M. They play eight conference games.
"They have Lamar, Rice, SMU and Louisiana Monroe. Boy those are all a bunch of toughies, right? :lol: We have nine conference games. So if [Texas A&M] was fortunate enough to be in the SEC championship game, they would play nine conference games at the end of the day and they have all those four 'toughies' to go with it."
"They said 'the SEC this, the SEC that,' " Stoops said. "I said, 'You talk like all 14 teams are this, that and the other thing.' I said, 'You have to give credit to the first one or two that have won the national championship, but don't act like they're all doing that.'
"The year I said that, the bottom half of the league was like 0-36 against the top half of the league. The bottom half of the league isn't beating anybody. So they jumped on that I was getting on the bottom half of the league. Things circle and people only say what they want to hear. What I said wasn't false. The bottom half wasn't beating many people. That was my only point."
Stoops realized he would be criticized even more if the Sooners had lost the Sugar Bowl.
"After we won I didn't have to hear anybody after that," Stoops said. "That's the bottom line. Everybody had their computers loaded and their microphones loaded, and they had to delete it. That was it." (insert Big Bob Fist Pump)

Stoops was at the Country Stampede a couple of years ago, and Toby Keith hosted Stoops and LHCBS at his bus. BITB talked with someone that was there, and asked them what they called each other. LHCBS called Stoops "Bobby", and Stoops called LHCBS "Coach".
