Title: Coastal Carolina@NDSU, espn(the mothership)
Post by: NDSU Lollypopkid on December 09, 2013, 10:47:05 AM
It'll be the only football game on tv this Saturday so you have no other choice but to watch

Shitty part is its an 11 am kick. But at least you don't need a laptop..but we need a coach.

Would snyder leave kstate for ndsu?

Maybe Sean will get his first head coaching gig at NDSU, continue the success Bohl has had, then come back to take over when Dad retires in 4-5 years.

I want Sean to get a HC gig somewhere pretty badly so he can either fail and we can put the Sean to HC when Bill leaves narrative to bed, or he can succeed and give me false hope he can be good here.

Not true.  Army vs Navy is this weekend, so you can still watch division 1 football and not subject yourself to the NDSU game to get your football fix.

NDSU would beat either of them in combat, or on the football field. You have no other options.

Clearly you fall in the category of the illiterate percentage of americans. CCU is a 1-AA school. Not division 3. Furthermore, football is the only sport they are classified as 1-AA in. It's a Division 1 school. They play Basketball at 1A. They are also pretty dominate in baseball at 1A level. Just missed the college world series last year, and are always in the hunt. Their football program is young, so to make it to the quarterfinals in the FCS tournament is something to talk about. Oh and they also play golf really well. You might have heard of a guy named Dustin Johnson, he definitely graduated from their. Oh, and they also send a good number of guys to the NFL in football. Tyler Thigpen, Jerome Simpson, Mike Tolbert, Quinton Teel. Just to name a few. So Dont try and be humerous when you really dont know what you're talking about.

You can do the NFL'ers with any pretty much any school. For example.

Idaho State:   Jared Allen, Merrill Hoge, Evan Dietrich-Smith, Ed "The Flea" Bell, Mike Machurek, and Jeff Charleston

Can the big 12 fit one more team in? Or kick out some school like Tech for NDSU?

this is what we get to deal with at this pud level.

Its kind of cute. Like when small town high schools put little signs along the highway when they make it to state.

TIL I learned that Coastal Carolina's mascot is the "Chanticleer" which is either a male vocal ensemble or a fictitious rooster.     Also, Rutgers used to be the Chanticleers before changing the mascot.

Also, Rutgers used to be the Chanticleers before changing the mascot.

Quote
In its early days, Rutgers athletes were known informally as "The Scarlet" in reference to the school color, or as "Queensmen" in reference to the institution's first name, Queen's College. In 1925, the mascot was changed to Chanticleer, a fighting rooster from the medieval fable Reynard the Fox (Le Roman de Renart) which was used by Geoffrey Chaucer's in the Canterbury Tales. At the time, the student humour magazine at Rutgers was called Chanticleer, and one of its early arts editors, Ozzie Nelson (later of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet fame) was quarterback of the Rutgers team from 1924 to 1926. The Chanticleer mascot was unveiled at a football game against Lafayette College, in which Lafayette was also introducing a new mascot, a leopard. However, the choice of Chanticleer as a mascot was often the subject of ridicule because of its association with "being chicken." In 1955, the mascot was changed to the Scarlet Knight after a campus-wide election, beating out other contenders such as "Queensmen", the "Scarlet", the "Red Lions", the "Redmen" and the "Flying Dutchmen." Earlier proposed nicknames included "Pioneers" and "Cannoneers". When Harvey Harman, then coach of the football team, was asked why he supported changing the Rutgers mascot, he was quoted as saying, "You can call it the Chanticleer, you can call it a fighting male genitals, you can call it any damn thing you want, but everybody knows it's a chicken." Harman later is said to have bought the first "Scarlet Knight" mascot costume for the 1955 season, which was to be his final season as football coach at Rutgers.

^^ none of that stuff is true.

ive never even heard of coastal Carolina because I don't follow division iii sports like 99.9% of americans.

So Dont try and be humerous when you really dont know what you're talking about.

dustin johnson sucks and so does your stupid face
