Make me love college football.
Just imagine being an Auburn fan? OMG, amazeballs! On SC they showed some kids at toomers corner and those kids were just having a blast throwing some TP, like nothing else in the world mattered. Beat your arch-rival to win your division and possibly play for the national title game? AND TO DO IT AFTER SCORING A TYING TOUCHDWON WITH 35 SECONDS LEFT THEN SCORING A TOUCHDOWN OFF A MISSED FIELD GOAL?!?!?!? OMG OMG OMG.
And Mizzou fans....last year they were calling for Pinkels head and this year they just celebrated the biggest win in the past 40 years. They are living it up in COMO right now letting a slow grin crawl across their face when they realize that if they get the W next week and OSU loses to MSU they could be playing for a Natty....just pure ecstasy(sp?)
What about OSU? My gawd! The last 5 Minutes of that game! Talk about a rivalry game, oh my! They have not lost a game in 2 years and now they finally controll their own destiny...and to do it by beating your arch rival at their place? After they go for 2 to win but fail? WOW. I bet herbie pours a stiff one tonight and really enjoys it!
Its days like today that really make being a fan worth it.

Hey KC, cant you ever just step back and enjoy the experience that is college football? I mean, what an amazing day. I hate Mizzou but I'm actually kinda happy for their fans, they are shitty and terrible people but I feel good watching them have fun!

KC, did you watch the Mizzou game? When Josey broke that run to put them up with like 4 minutes left the crowd went WILD!
Then when they finally won they tried to not rush the field(just like auburn) but eventually every fan was like "THIS IS SO MUCH FUN LETS TAKE IT ON THE FIELD AND PARTY WITH THE PLAYERS AND OMG WE COULD END UP IN THE NATTY!!!!"

Football season and mardi gras two main things i miss about living in the south. The bama/auburn rivalry is a riot as a spectator living around it every day. I got a call from a bama watch party at a bar in mobile right after kick return. You could hear a pin drop.

I would think it would hurt more, at least short term. These people pretty much view the title game as their birthright.
