This is really a compelling argument for this very well written article. I am glad they dug into the counter point so deeply.
On the other side of the debate are civil liberties advocates who worry that DNA is subject to contamination, misinterpretation, sample switches and fraud.

Great movie, I loved all the old cars updated to electric

Arguably the best movie of Ethan Hawke's career. As for the Supreme Court ruling, I think it's a case where the benefits outweigh the negatives. I can see both sides of the argument, but at the end of the day, if this is just limited to law enforcement, and it helps us convict more rapists and murderers, I'm for it. Most states already use DNA swabs anyways.

I agree with Scalia.

Jude Law is very good in it as well - when he has to climb the stairs then gives cops the business "What's your number? No, no... What's your number, you rough ridin' flatfoot'!"

You are totally right. Move to Shame yourself thread.

I'm for it BUT only after serious felony convictions.
-
Should only be able to use DNA to exonerate those already convicted
-
totally illegal

I think reasonable suspicion that comes with a warrant during the investigation of crime is okay too. .
DNA that is deemed not to be involved in crimes must be destroyed and wiped clear of all databases.

Ummm, then you are not for it.
-
Swab away! There is nowhere to hide criminals.
