The Stanford site also limits an actual limit on the amount a person can earn in a semester (which seemed really low, $2k per semester?) i don't know if that Tree U regs or the NCAA... if there as any limit, i'm sure market compensation for appearing on TV would vastly exceed it. After 20min of 1863 DJamer being an bad person, super stud emaws show up to visit with other super stud emaws in suites next to us. There's like 10-15 pros and former pros or former emaw studs gathered around the bar. Bar gets shut the eff down. Gronk and his gronkourage leave to get more lady friends and alcohol i guess.

I didn't see anything in that tweet that suggested he is leaving. However, I'll need someone with more TransferIQ than me, but since he has graduated I believe he can transfer to another school without losing any eligibility if he finds one that has a grad program that KSU doesn't or something like that. I also think he is transferring because why in the world would anyone want to play behind the coach's son in his Senior year? Call me crazy, but I'd say we lose baby Gronk.
You are correct that he is free to go pretty much anywhere and be immediately eligible. Frankly he should leave as I'm quite sure he's interested in showcasing his talents for the scouts.

I think TE would be a very natural transition for him. He got all the qualities needed for the position. He's tall, strong, blocks well, and can catch a ball. Unless I'm reading it wrong, he has had more rushing attempts this year then he has in his first two years combined plus its not like he was some absolute stud in the pass game... His best year was his freshman season when he had a total of 194 yards receiving.
I would hope he had more rushes, he had a total of seven going into this season. It took Winston fewer than one game to surpass Gronk's career total, not sure what that has to do with anything though. His limited effectiveness in catching the ball has nothing to do with him unless you want him to call the plays and then throw it to himself. When they have called on him to catch the ball, he's done just that.

Glenn is 6'2, which is short by NFL TE standards. Almost all are 6'4 or taller and the elite TEs are 6'5 or 6'6.

FWIW Glenn is listed at 6'3" also I feel like some of you are kind of forgetting what his last name is as it relates to his NFL prospects at tight end. Also, losing Gronk will have little impact on the success of our offense next year. If we get the QB situation fixed, I think we will be much better offensively and we'll have plenty of options in the backfield. Gronk probably deserved more opportunities because of his experience, but Dimel is at worst his equal and was a very productive player that will continue to get better. Plus we'll have Jones, Warmack, and Silmon all in the backfield; we'll be in very good shape.
What we really need is better production and more explosiveness from the WR position anyway.

I will miss Gronk, but his reasons for leaving our completely understandable. I'm not sure he has the size to make in the NFL, but we'll see. I can see being ticked at Dimel and his use of his son, but the only reason Gronk ever came here was Dimel.
Yeah, Winston had a great season that no one can ever take away from him, but there should absolutely be no doubt he got opportunities and plays called for him that no fullback in our offense has ever had. There is no evidence that Gronk couldn't do the same things FamilyFullback did if he was asked to, he always did. We have had a history of great fullbacks, none of them got the anywhere close to the chances that a redshirt freshman did who happens to be the son of the guy who calls the plays. The fact that it started the first quarter of the first game makes it transparent. I noticed that Winston got more carries in the first half of his first game than Gronk did in his career to that point, I'm sure all of the Gronks noticed too.

I liked Travis Wilson more than Gronk, but that was probably it. I will probably like Winston Dimel more than everyone except Travis Wilson by the end of it, but this makes me sad about Gronk just the same.

My favorite K-State fullback is probably still Goolsby. I liked Johnno quite a bit too and T Wilson was really good.

I think we used to use them enough to help the offense. Justin Swift didn't rack up a ton of catches, but he was used much more than any TE in Snyder 2.0.
It just depends on the year. Tannahill caught 23 passes in 2012 which is as many as any year in Snyder 1.0. TEs have generally caught 17-22 passes and FBs about 4-7 throughout Snyder's career. This year was really strange because there were no catches by a TE, which only happened in 2005, but the 13 catches by a FB were only surpassed by 15 in 2000 and those were caught by Rock.
IMO, its entirely possible that part of the reason Dimel played so much this year is that the writing was on the wall with Gronk. Not that we wanted him to leave, but I'm sure our coaching staff knew he was already on track to have his 2nd degree by December this year meaning it was likely he was going to be heading to the NFL regardless.
