That seems fair. At the same time, it is hard for me to believe our guard play has improved so much that watching Clent level play has become intolerable. He used to seem at least reasonable.

Speaking of comparos... http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/compare?add=rodney-mcgruder&p1=tim-ellis&rodney-mcgruder=2012-2013&tim-ellis=2003-2004

Clent was a point guard, Will is a shooting guard. I loved Clent, if he was asked to be Lance Harris I would have not loved Clent. Frank gave Will the opportunity to be Clent but he and his dad didn't want that.

I really don't understand not liking Clent.

yoman, I anticipated this very point being raised. Allow me:

Mario Taybron took Clent's minutes. Wooly was an idiot. Frank looks like a rotation genius compared to him.

I always liked Clent as well, but he was the ultimate "facilitator" PG. To me he really showed why Wooly ultimately failed.

I think he is great personally. I just was always frustrated with his basketball playing.

Boo friggity hoo that Clent didn't hit a 3 against Wisconsin and was not a creator with the ball.
Clent's Mom was a hero, battling cancer, and supporting the team long enough to see 84-75. A true hero and inspiration. Clent was a class act through the entire ordeal and was EMAW. Also was the leading scorer at 59-55.
Spradling's dad hangs out with Matt Dohrety and he is a baby. :sdeek:
I don't give a crap what the stats say. Spradling could be 60% from 3 next year and be 1st team all league and for me Clent > Sprads and it wouldn't even be close.
-

Both are not good enough to start for middling Valley teams, so they do have that in common.

Taybron gave me his towel after a game once and it's my golf towel now.

Good golf towels are hard to come by. Most wear out too quickly.

Yeah, I always thought Rod had a lot of Cartier in him. Rod did much better the last two years creating his own shot though. I would also say he's a little better off the dribble. But I was just starting to really get into kstate bball when Cartier played so I could be remembering wrong.

clent's shot looked a lot like will's iirc

This one has a little red Gatorade spot that won't come out to remind me of Mario.

I sat in the chairbacks when Gilson destroyed Oregon State in the OOD. Fun game.

not much of a story. After destroying a Bobby Knight TT squad, G DJamer must have been feeling like such a stud that he pawned his Most Inspirational plaque and we got it at Grand Ol' Trunk (then Grandma's Trunk lmao).

meh. seems forced. like you don't really believe it (except the clent>sprads part, i mean obvs...). like you just wanted to see what it would feel like to be an internet tough guy for a second (and didn't pull it off).

Attending over half the games from the Wooly era should earn you a lifetime achievement award for loyalty to the university.

Me too! There was a great crowd that night and great in those days was about 10,000. Back then I didn't know what a tuck was or how much they love Knight.
I didn't miss a home men's or women's game, football game, or volleyball match from 96-00. #kbrageo

Okay so what do I get for attending the games under Tom Asbury? I almost went blind watching Pero Vasiljevic miss layups.

Same deal. +50%, lifetime achievement. +85%, name on the monument. We shall not forget. We shall overcome.

I like both those dudes! :ksu:

I probably hit the 98% attendance mark through Asbury AND Wooly. Suck on THAT, _FAN!

No, you're an idiot if you wanted for time for Wooly, asbury etc (sorry _FAN). You're painfully loyal if you hated those assholes, yet went anyway.
