You shouldn't move on until you fix the problem that caused the problem in the first place.

Two fouls for Wright with 8 minutes to go in the first half and it will basically end the game.

They should be thrilled that they have a chance to expand their vocabulary and witness a mini-meltdown. La Salle is STILL trying to figure out how to defend JO. Luckily for them, oscar Weber has no rough ridin' clue how to use a 7' post so he will take him out. It makes it more fair for everybody. God, I rough ridin' hate oscar.

I do believe Baker is gonna be playing some nba ball. He's played very well throughout the tournament. nice chasedown block. Very impressed with his clutch shots vs gonzaga as well. overall ive been impressed with the talent of these MVC teams. now i see why Andy Kennedy(Ole miss coach) didn't call a timeout last week vs lasalle. He was afraid to face the Shockers

That was the angriest I have ever been watching a game that didn't involve my team, possibly ever. How in the hell did we lose to LaSalle? Carl Hall is like 6'4" and he looked like a NBA all-star against those runts. Marshall did a great job utilizing his advantages at the forward positions. I bet he takes the UCLA job before leaving LA on Saturday night.

I'm trying to tell you it all boils down to shooting when you talk lasalle. if they are hot from 3 they can play with anybody due to their speed advantages. if they go cold they get dominated with ease. they were hot versus k state and ole miss from 3 late in each game. thats the difference. wichita controlled the pace of the game and prevented them from getting open looks from 3 in transition, by disruptin the flow of lasalles triangle and two transition offense. either that or oscar had preminitions of being humiliated by wichita state

disagree, run good possessions by dumping it low, prevents easy transition points from speed break outs from missed shots, allows you to get back and setup the half court.  If your center is locking down the rim, as JO was in the 2nd half, it allows the guards to push out on the perimeter to lock down on their shooters.

You're point about being 'hot' and their speed advantages doesn't track very well imo with the rest of your comments.  Occasionally teams just go unconscious shooting, but LS didn't do that, we just didn't guard them for crap in the 1st half.  I agree with a lot of what you said.

i was talking out my ass, i'll admit it. i didn't watch the ksu game(largely because i thought ksu had it in the bag). i did watch the ole miss- lasalle game though, and la salle was on fire all game, but olemiss dominated them in the paint. that's why i said the shooting was the difference, since lasalle was cold from 3 today for the most part. I thought the better team won tonight, but that is not to take away or demean the accomplishments of the Shockers. I think they are a very good basketball team who has more than shown they can play with anybody. the emphasis of team ball and defense reminds me alot of that 10 loss villanova team in the early 2000's that either won the NC or made it to the championship game.

Yeah.  That was a tough watch last night.

LaSalle's coach was pretty much like "yeah, finally we hit a coach who knew his head from his ass"

Oh man.  Imagine oscar making the E8 or F4 this year because of the garbage region.

Team #BiD would've had a lot of trouble gaining members going forward despite it being just like KU's orange bowl season.

La Salle was 7-18 from 3 against both K-State and Wichita State.  Key difference was that against the Shockers, they didn't have nearly a whole half worth of easy uncontested shots from beyond the arc to start the game.  They had to earn their looks over a whole 40 minutes and were prevented from immediately jumping out to a double digit lead due to a bunch of wide open shots.

I think you may actually fall off a little bit with the departures of so many seniors(and mclemore) and without withey to protect the rim. you will likely blow through the Big 12 though with ease and make the tourney, but i think you will take a small step backwards next season.

Honestly KU and Michigan have both been up and down all year. I picked Kansas in this one, but i realize it can go either way. Michigan has more talent, but Kansas has more senior leadership. theres no single matchup it will boil down to, but if i had to pick a matchup it would be who ever is matched up with trey burke. contain burke and michigan is likely to lose

Wichita State is the 2nd-best program in Kansas now that K-State has oscar instead of Frank.  Sad, but true.

In about 8-9 hours, Wichita State will have the best program in Kansas as evidenced by being the only team from the wheat state left in the tourney...

What's funny?

Odds are that Meatchicken wins tonight, thus leaving WSU as the only remaining team from Kansas.

I'd make fun of your ku education, but you're just a t-shirt fan.

 :dubious:

I have to laugh to hide how worried I am about this game.  It should be quite the game to watch and I really don't know who wins.  I could easily see it going either way.

Honestly KU and Michigan have both been up and down all year. I picked Kansas in this one, but i realize it can go either way. Michigan has more talent, but Kansas has more senior leadership. theres no single matchup it will boil down to, but if i had to pick a matchup it would be who ever is matched up with trey burke. contain burke and michigan is likely to lose

i consider his matchup with mclemore a push. both good players. the fact remains that someone will have to step up to check burke and prevent his penetration. when he gets in the lane he kicks it out to hardaway, robinson, or drops it down low for horford or mcgary(watch out for nick stausgas too 6'7 white boy is a mike miller clone). that's why i think the key matchup is at point guard, since its been exposed already that Kansas lacks a "true" point guard. the key will be defending burke and i stand by that as i have followed michigan since the Ark. game
