The prosecutor was being a huge douche. Normally a big no-no, but I'm not sure how that plays in South African courts. Seems weird that there's just a judge and no jury in their courts. Pistorius had to keep saying "My Lady" in every sentence (female judge).

Only unusual to us. Trial by jury is fairly rare in other countries. Several have abolished it and a lot use a combination of trial by jury and bench trial for serious crimes.
Saying "My Lady" is just a variant of "Your Honor."

either way, does hosing someone with bullets through a closed door count as self defense? its hard to say you feared for your life when all you had to go on was the sounds of someone on the other side of a closed door. not sure of the self defense laws of south africa.
