Also, if Weber turns out good and we are really good, he's not staying.

Yep. We need EMAW heroes to PI him every single time they come into contact with him. Make him feel like he can't even mow his own lawn without getting berated. He will be on the first ticket out of town and then we can hire somebody good.

Define good. I don't want him to stay at KSU just because he makes the tournament this year and then slowly drives the program down to the level he kept Illinois at (missing the NIT).

Going into this season, with this roster, we should all have expected nothing less than a sweet 16. If oscar were to get us to a final 4 or something, I wouldn't complain too loudly when he proceeds to Chizik the program up, but if he loses in the sweet 16 this year, and him leaving means we can go get oscar Pearl or Doug Gottlieb, shouldn't we all be hoping he leaves?

This, except it would have to be winning the NC, and I'd only wear it until he trashes the program, then I'd put on a burn it down shirt.

in order of things (in theory) i want...

1)be really, really good under weber and have him stay for 50 years
2)fire weber tomorrow
3)average two games under .500 in conference over the next 7 years with oscar as our coach

I am afraid I will never enjoy listening to Weber speak, even if he wins.

I mean, Bill is not a dynamic speaker but I have come to love and appreciate his dry humor and the way he can give a 3 minute answer to a question without saying anything of substance.

Mr. Bread and other Illini fans, did you enjoy listening to Weber speak when he was winning?

If he wins, I'll love him.  If he loses, I'll hate him.  That goes for any coach K-State has ever had in football or basketball.

Except I still sorta love Ron.  And Wooly.

I'm bad at this.

It's not just that, it's that most schools wouldn't touch oscar even if he was successful here. He's old, and has been fired from a pretty good job.
