If it's year 3 and largely his recruits he's making the tourney with, no.
One of the reasons so may are pissed is because this returning team was a great thing for a new coach to come into. The BTF was being completed and there was real momentum. This was a tournament team before FYJC named a coach, so the minimum expectation was for them to make the tourney.

I agree that we shouldn't be sold on him based on a tournament appearance this season but I do think he deserves some credit if he is able to pull it off because good players still need coaching. And these players aren't all stars by any means.

Trying to "spin" facts against oscar is as stupid and annoying as Doherty trying to "spin" them in his favor. (With the caveat that this is a message board, and Doherty had a radio platform.) I'm still reserving judgment on oscar.

I'm really excited that they won last night too. I love k-state basketball more than any other sports team and I want us to do good. oscar scares me, but if he creates good basketball over the long term, I'll be fully on board.

Pack and Bradford are so so good. Miguel and DG3 are absolute dogs. Need like 2 more good players that don’t exist on this roster.

Between Gordon, murphy, and EZ there's a serviceable power forward in there. oscar needs to go get the best shooter available in the juco ranks, and that's probably all we need.

Selton is really starting to be a lockdown defender. We still need one or two point guards.

Between Gordon, murphy, and EZ there's a serviceable power forward in there. oscar needs to go get the best shooter available in the juco ranks, and that's probably all we need.
EZ is a good back up for Bradford. A Gordon is fine at the 4 and rebounds like crazy, but I'd like another option there. I'm not sure Monte is every healthy enough to play, but we'll see.
This team does need another combo guard that can defend. Good Mike McGuirl is okay if he comes back, but I'd prefer someone that can be a better PG.
