Title: the wild crusaders of manhattan
Post by: EMADUB on December 17, 2012, 05:39:09 PM
Even tho oscar is making one team in the Mhk a basketball dumpster fire, another team across the street could have a special year in hoops. The second winniest coach in Kansas has the Mccers at at 6-7 record. Saturday showed the improvement as the fighting crusaders only lost 88-40 to Oklahoma Baptist which was a major step up from the 103-27 slaughter last year. Mark your calendars for the first and ninth of February as MCC welcomes their biggest rivals Ozark and BBC!! Just remember to be quiet after the game cause the teams pray together.  EMAC!

The third hardest place to play in Manhattan!! City Auditorium! Seats about 187 I think. And some seats are missing.

Yea in that order. One time we dunked it and it was really cool. I would say that after the dunk it was louder than 08 KU in the former OOD.

Sadly no. We do have a player that looks exactly like the 49ers new qb, the not Alex smith guy. I should find Angel on campus and see if he wants to break the 138 point record. I think we play faith baptist again. Can you imagine Angel in the all white crusader uniforms??

It would be a win win win. No more pressure for oscar cause of Angels talent. Angel gets to play in City and my Intramural 3on3 team would be the bomb digity

Just a quick update on your local crazy crusaders. Since starting 6-7 the boys in Navy Blue have gone 7-2  run and a 6-1 conference record. These next two weeks are vital. Tonight is @Barclay for sole possession of the Midwest Christian College Conference. Friday is Ozark at CITY Auditorium( home of the awkwardest fans in America).

Ozark is MCC biggest rival. Kids from across Kansas and Missouri that are going to tell people about Jesus/Tim Tebow's life for a career have to choose between Ozark Christian "don't allow TVs in their room during the week days cause they are really conservative" College and Manhattan Christian "the best around and nothing will keep us down" college.  Last game on the18th @ozark was a thriller. We hit a three with 1.7 second left to tie and destroyed them in overtime.

Mods can we go ahead and have this as a ticket exchange thread? If you want to get awkward and angry then City Auditorium is the place to be this Friday(2/01/13) at 7pm

Grace and Peace

Barclay College? More like Bar-oh crap we just lost a game 72-66 to the Junkyard Crusaders and MCC controls they own destiny Friday or the MCCC championship. Am I right??

Guys we are making signs for Friday's games. No we are not making John 3:16 signs that look like they have been folded 23 times.

No we are making legit signs. One leaked tonight in the dorms, we have a player with the last name that rhymes with Turtle. So on the sign its "(this dude last name) the turtle" and get this.... It has a beard!!! A turtle with a beard!!Cause this dude who's name is on the sign has a beard!!!

I want to make one now. The game is televised on Ustream so should I do

Or
"Hey Ozark what translation of God's word do you use? I bet it is the NLT!!! Cause only losers read that translation and you guys are a bunch of losers!!!! Jk lol!!!"

Meh, PoetWarrior already did that sign. How about "M-C-C YA LATER, DORKS!" Although you'd have to make sure to put the MCC logo on it and stuff so people know you're saying it to the other team, because it could be kind of confusing.

Yup, basically just like that. Do you guys only play Christian schools? If not, you should make a sign for the non-Christian schools that says, "WE'LL CRUSADE YOUR ASSES! SERIOUSLY, THIS ISN'T A JOKE! WE WILL KILL YOU IF YOU DON'T ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST RIGHT NOW! GO CRUSADERS!"

Sadly we do not unequally yoke ourselves in the game of basketball but I will keep this idea in mind just the Big12 Commish actually open and read my letter I sent two summers ago about MCC joining the BigXII.

I do not believe so. They are D-1 NCCAA.

Quick update on attendence for tonight's MCC/OCC blood bath. three close sources( Facebook event, Ustream Analysis and my ex roommate) have confirmed it is going to be packed. Quotes like "everyone and their mom is coming" and "I think most of my friends from my hometown who now live in manhattan are coming" have been heard by my own ears. I am a math major and after crunching the numbers there will not be an empty seat!!!

I am getting chills now imaging how City will look with 187 strong.

Can confirm. I have been doing on some exegetical work on the Hebrew Bible all day today in my monk cave and found out that the original Greek word for City Aditorium is "a place of really angry, awkward an awesome fans." So the rumors have some meat to them, with this definition coming to me by the Holy Spirit/Tim Tebows newest book.

Here are my ____EMADUB analysis.

We are down one and have made a lot of threes and they have a tall guy that makes inside the paint shots. Also the refs must of have been paid off with Amy Grant CDs or something.

What we need to do to win:

Win the half by two!!!!!!!

WildCrusder Chapter 9 Verseth 1( ps that isour conference record)

And after an amazing come back in the first halfeth to pull it within one, the junkyard crusaders came out punching(literally one of our players got a T and it got angry up in City) and took the lead ad never looked back. The half was full of threes swishing, three point play fist pumps, and as the seconds ticked of the clock, EMADUB raised his hands out of jubilee just like Moses did when he needed the sun to stay up for 48 hours. The teams gracefully gathered together after and raised thanks to The Lord Almighty, but every pure crudader heart in that building was lifting a little bit more praise than the Ambassadors from the land of Joplin Missery.

Hey guys long time no see. I feel as guilty as Judas for not updating all the goEmawers on this historic week in MCC hoops. So lets get started shall we?

Did you ever find your self relating more with Eve, Mary, Deborah, or Easter more in church/that Tim Tebow John 316 commercial during that Super Bowl a couple years back? Well then you would be happy to know that the women crusaders are ranked number 3 in the nation out of all division two non scholarship Bible schools through out America.

Now some news for the men that he goose bumps every time they hear the original 300 story in which Gideon and 300 men defeated a butt load of people with clay pots. MCCs game agains Calvery last Saturday was like David and Goliath, but in this story Goliath litteraly stepped on David and Calvery was left worse off than when Masa Self ran over Elijah Johnson with a bus. Grace was supposed to be a close game, but we shot the three ball as beautifully as Amy Grant was before she got old and fat. Needless to say we destroyed them.

This weekend has two key games for MCC's goal for the one seed in our region. We will look the Avenge our lone region loss against CBC tonight in City ad tomorrow is part two of the dramatic newly formed rivalry of BBC/MCC. 3 things you need to know about them. 1. Imagine a team full of Will Spradlings that are worse 2. The two teams got in a debate after wards and it almost lead to 3rd degree 6th commandment breaking. 3. The only good part of BBC is this kid I know and he finally opened his Bible and read his emails from Tim Tebow and transferred to MCC.

Btw I think I have like 3/4 of the read count on here cause I keep reading it and laughing at my own jokes.

Guys, I am so sorry that I am so late with all these updates. I know you guys will forgive me because the good Lord 6 pound 8 ounce Baby Jesus said that people have to forgive people 70x7 times. So I am still good for 489 times.

Anyway, I actually have an excuse why this did not come sooner. While in my monk cave looking and exegeting Proverbs 31(btw Solomon would put fanning to shame with the amount of women he loved), this old guy Joseph Ratzinger, or Benedict XVI as some people call him was wearing that stupid Notre Dame shirt he always wears and was bragging about that 5-OT game. You guys should be proud, I drove him to retirement by arguing with him that K-state was soon going to take over Notre Dame’s spot as most recognizable brand in the NCAA.

Back to what matters here, The Good News of Crusader Basketball. How were last weekend’s games against higher ranked regional teams? HA! More like last weekend’s demolishment of super pud teams. CBC?#14 in the nation? Yea right, NEXT. Baptist Bible? Not even worth talking about cause we took care of business just like that woman did when that bad guy came to her tent and she put him to sleep and then drove a stake through his skull.

We are number one in MCCC, and now thanks to CBC losing again, #1 in our region. This is good cause if they would have won then it would have come down to a coin flip. Chick Fi-La found out about this last year and pulled their sponsorship of the NCCAA(prouncced out loud as N Double C Double A) cause of “casting lots”

More updates later this week as Conference Tournament is in Joplin Missery, and many of MCC students are making the crusade to Ozark and prior to the game we will be having a  “Christian Tailgate/ I am not sure what PAK stands for exactly but I am going to go ahead and say that this is a” PAK

Thanks for all of your encouragement on this thread’s status. I might as well call all of you Barnabas. If you are not a stud Greek speaker like me, then you would not know that this actually means one of encouragement.

If this happens and that thing under it said either FightingDT's (Daniel Thomas MCC Alum) or Tim Tebow Aggie, Then my prayers from last night will be answered.

Then I can move on to praying I find an answer to how the heck I can get an Avatar small enough. The shirtless pic of Timmy in the rain or the screen shot of the dad of Tenatious D keep saying it is not a avatar or it is too big.

Fear not, your faith is not  a weak faith but rather one of smartness. We have no union and we got no Popeyes. I wish cause I love fried chicken more than Solomon loved all 700 of his wives.

Oh and here is the updated bracket on this weekends Tourney with today's games coming to a close.

Well  Tobias, you have chosen the Kurt Shultz of MCC. And standing next to him is Our Pat Basco, and then our three time DII NCCAA non scholarship soccer national champion coach rounds out the MCC Trinity.

Also this pic is golden cause it captures the essence of City's awkwardness. Our version sandstorm was just played. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=7-NOZU2iPA8&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D7-NOZU2iPA8

Man, that last post was weird and not up to EMADub par. I now know how David felt after writing the 151 Psalm. I just have not been filled with the bbsing spirit tonight. I think it's cause I am nervous we are going to lose to Ozark tomorrow(btw we beat Calvery worse than when John beat Peter to the tomb to see that Jesus was not there but rather he had risen) I am making the crusade down there to watch both the men and women wild crusaders win the Christian Books and Gifts MidWestern Christian  College Conference  Tourney.

I just don't want to lose cause I am not sure how I will melt down on here. Will I post a bunch of pictures of cats and say that the conference tournament will not mean a thing? Will My three friends on this thread lead me astray as I, Job, try and figure out why these things happens to me? Will I post those funny laws in the Old Testament that I would immaturely read in Sunday School class?

Stay tuned tomorrow to find out.

I think my lack of bbsing after last nights game left this board at a bigger cliffhanger than when Jesus....

So last was a tough one guys. We just coul not grab any momentum. Ozark is a lot like last years Purdue team in that they have one really good player that can make things happen. He controlled the paint just like Jesus controlled those demons and sent them into the pigs. And then when he got into foul trouble all of the blind and lost kids on their team were found and could see. They hit crazy shots and we were as affective(or effective?) from the field as door to door track evangelizing.

I was mad but I would not let the sun go down on my anger. So I call what I went through last night SunDown Butthurt. I had to find something positive so here is how I reached the final stage of the grieving process in just four hours.

Jubilee, Happiness, joy. I have no idea if those are synomens( funny word to say 10 times). But these things always in sports are related to winning. And the Ozark Fans sure had a lot of it. That is what makes rivalries beautiful. One fan base of 187 is dejected while the other is on cloud nine.

You may be reading this and thinking Mr EMADUB how does that help? Well sometimes joy does not come from winning. Don't worry I am not going all Tim Tebow on ya. There is another board on her for that. But have you guys ever stepped back from your computer screen and realized how much joy this board brings to your life? Ever since black Monday against KU in Huggys first year, I have followed ksufans and goEMAW and I have had like 70x7 Rolf moments. The fact that last night as all I wanted to do is to go to the darkest corner of my monk cave and play Someone Like You by Adelle and read Habakkuk, but rather I could go on here and read about how team angel won the day and then see that there are probably more fans on here interested in the wild crusaders than actually go to MCC brought me a goliath huge smile to my face. You guys are the best around. Nothin will ever keep goEMAW down.

I am going to pull a WWTTWJD( what would the tuxedo t-shirt wearing Jesus Do)and answer your question with a more in depth question that makes you reflect on life. What if Fear the Beard was predestined to be put in place on this earth so that Birtell the Turtle might shine its light amounts the men and women at City Auditorium?

To answer your second question, I have done some exegetical work on this site and by using the amazing search bar I think and pray that you are asking if there any Dominique Sutton like DOb's on the wild crusaders. And the answer is also in a question form is the Pope Catholic?

$3. Not only is that what I pay a month in my Christian Mingle Account to be a Frankincense  member but also what YOU have to pay in order to watch the wild crusaders make the next step in their goal to capture the Zondervan National Christian College Athletic Association Division II non scholarship Basketball National Championship. We face BBC on Friday and then the winner of Grace and CBC. We hold a combined 5-1 record in region and winning regions should be easier than memorizing John 11:35.

Guys today was a great day to be a wild crusader fan. I stated earlier that I cost $3 to get into City(home of the awkwardest fans in America)...well.. For every dolar something great happened for those that reside at 1415 Anderson.

$1. Grace beat CBC. This is great for two reasons. First Grace hate our guts.  Second we have beat them semi thouroghly twice. It will be one crazy intense game and last year Grace beat us in regionals after we got em twice. Then we beat them in the Big Christian dance. So this rivalry has a lot of history tha even goes back to wild crusader volley ball. Sorry for no Bible references in this one, things are not clicking yet. But this will be worth every penny tomorrow to watch.

$2. Ozark lost. I am a tuck when it comes to my disliking of Ozark. I saw a tweet that said they lost and I partied like it was 4 BC. With Ozark losing, Things are more funny to me tonight, and I will go to sleep with a Goliath smile on my face knowing that Ozark' season is as dead as the Old Testament Law. Oh and they lost at home infront of their terrible student section, so that loss had to be like drinking the water of the Dead Sea. Oh man I am happy you guys. they did not even make the regional championship at home

$3. Just like Isaiah predicted Jesus would be born in Bethlehem I bet you predicted that this one is about the junkyard crusaders winning. Well I might as well call you the ESV cause you are correct. We scored more points than there are chapters in the Gosples combine and the patriots of Baptist Bible did not. (99-85).  I was not a witness to the game as I had some wyld plans come up but I hear that the refs were Jezebel awful and we accidentally depanced a kid in a rebound just to shake the dust off of our feet at Baptist.

Lets go 1-0 tomorrow and settle for 1st

Our decimal meter may finally get to Roman Collisium(100AD) level. During the Ozark game we reached Jerico level. It was the bomb digity.

Sure did. 7 of em on the front lines. Then half of the crowd was doing the monk chant from Monty Python while I  and the other half was doing that weird duke things with our hands but more emphasis on the out stretch prayer hands rather than the spirit fingers and we also were singing the three part harmony to Amazing Grace.

Well My Best goEMAW Buds that read this forum, this thread may come to a temporary end after tomorrow. The boys in Navy Blue could not get things going tonight and dug themselves in a huge hole after shooting 16% from the field in the first half. The comeback in the second half was an incredible ride to be on and I now know what it feels like to be a part of a 28-28 moment. We cut the lead to two after behind as much as sixteen. I yelled my soul out and got a lot of chuckles from my brothers and sisters in Christ because I was showing my strong passion for the game. I would accredit that passion to this board because after attending the Manhattan PAK tonight, I saw how elite this board truly is and that we have the best passion for our team(/s because I am a duel degree fan).

Usually my posts are longer than the book of Jude so I continue to educate you guys about the NCCAA. So the Awkward Christian Dance consists of 12 teams from eight different regions.  The region winners get the top 8 seeds, and then there are four at large bids. One at large bid is always reserved for the host team (just like the world cup), so that leaves three coveted spots for those that lost in their region. Below is a picture I made with paint, PowerPoint and other various elite computer programs.  You will see the teams that are for sure awkward dancing and then the teams that are up for the at large and my predicos(biased) for who is getting in. I actually in real life am trying to become either a sports blogger/twitter admin for the NCCAA Division II sports, so I hope I can get my foot in the door with CCSN(Christian College Sports Network) and show them that I really care about this justifiably over looked league. My goal is just to have an account that updates all scores, smack talk, and blogs from one twitter account called No Scholarship Sports.

Tomorrow after sunrise, the selection show that airs via podcast will unveil the field, and I will either make my last post or one of super-duper excitement cause my boys in blue will have made the field. Until then, stay fresh.

Jesus, Lazarus, that dead girl, this thread, MCC Mens hoops.

What is the greatest common factor? They were all dead at one point but then WERE RAISED TO LIFE BY A MIRACLE!!!!! As I watched the seconds click off and the Grace Royals rush the court pumping their jerseys towards the student section, a deep sadness entered my heart. Not because our valiant effort at coming back came to a screeching halt, but because my beloved crusaders season looked like it had written its last chapter for the 2012-13 season. But after I made my post on here that night, I decided to check twitter one last time. That is when the rumblings started to happen. The men’s hoops team were being congratulated on making Nationals by their fellow brother and sisters. Nationals???? EMADUB thought this was blasphemy, but in order to fall asleep, I had faith that this could be true.

The next day, as Chi Cat called was no day of rest for this Crusader lover. I investigated and would not believe a single word until the Paul’s Tent Making “We make dang good Tents” NCCAA Division Two Selection Show podcast. Well the podcast was as real as Jesus’ marriage certificate and I was aggravated that I forgot that CCSN was not doing podcasts. So when our athletic feed said that we got an at large, I became as excited as that one time David danced in the streets naked. I was so excited I forgot to post something on here/think of something creative to put. I thank everyone for the complements on my posts but you guys are the true winners because it does not take you 36 hours to come up with great posts. Seriously you all have an amazing gift at BBSing that I wish to one day receive.

So just as my favorite book of the Bible, James extends to 5 chapters, this thread looks like it is also going to be five pages as I will now get to enlighten this board on the Crusader’s journey towards a Division II non-Scholarship National Championship. So be prepared to learn about our opponent and maybe I can get some interviews with the players.

Wanna know something funnier than SNL’s skit of Tim Tebow? We got an 8 seed. AN 8 SEED!!!! That means we were the second best at large. Wanna know which school got the ten seed? Grace…hahaha we just got beat by them and we got them by two seeds…they must have prayed wrong or used the wrong translation of the Word in the Selection Meeting . Coming in at #11as the last team in…Ozark…they must feel like Mathias, who was the disciple that was chosen to replace Judas...

O and we are facing a team that comes from the west coast and put up 144 points one time. So this game is going to have more points than Methuselah’s candles on his last birthday’s unleavened cake.

Hey guys since you all are having a grand ole time looking at disgusting pictures of KU’s jerseys that my filter excommunicates I decided to go troll Multnomah’s Scrolls and man did I get them riled up. I kept asking if the book The Prayer of Jabez hurts the image of Church(one of their teachers wrote that book) and every time they  brought up a valid point I quoted their motto “If it's Bible you want, then you want Multnomah!” Let’s just say that they are going to step two of Matthew 18 and bringing in their president to talk to me.

But seriously let me put on my _Fan robe and give ya some in-depth stats about the Aslan Lions of Multnomah.

Since the tenth of January they have scored 92 points or more and broke the century mark 11 times out of 15 times and currently the streak above 100 is at 6. Usually _Fan puts some weird letters and a percentage so here it goes…Multnomah is literally shooting a JC316% so that is defiantly in their favor. They lead the division two non-scholarship b-ball teams in Points Per Game and Assists and top ten in Three Point Percentage, Free Throw Percentage, and Rebounds. Their Bathsheba ? Defense. They are as bad at defense as Moses was at holding onto the first Ten Commandments. So along with the JC316% comes Multnomah’s CAIN666% so you can interpret those stats however you want.

Prediction: Coming later this week.

The main reason we are such a stud team that have won 80%+ of our league games  under our coach and known as an elite basketball school is because we do not yoke ourselves with the ACCA. The ACCA according to my source Wikipedia is “is an organization of collegiate athletics. It was incorporated to provide an opportunity for smaller Christian College members to compete on an equal level of competition with schools of like size.” Basically it’s like the NIT of the NCAA. No one wants to be there and winning a title is like getting a participation ribbon in your 4th grade science fair.

The only good part of the ACCA is that they have their tournament a week before the big awkward Dance so the “best around” teams can sit in their monk caves and interpret the games of interest. You should have already guessed that Ozark is a part of this stupid league, but the other team of importance is Multnomah. Side note, Multnomah is super weird to say out loud.

I would have thought that a team that is as hot as the fires of “h e double hockey sticks” from the field would have cruised through this bracket, but I forgot that defense even wins semi-championships. They LOST their first game 131-115. ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY ONE POINTS!! Did the white witch kill their defense or something? Then they won their second game in a low scoring game 97-94, and then pulled out a squeaker 107-104 to get 5th place in the ACCA. So as some cool kids on this board say…CONFIDENCE RISING!!!!  In their first loss, which I believe is a key one for us to exegete this weekend, they put up 50 3’s and only made 18(lol only). They play their game just like the Bible because their second half(New Testament) is ten times better than the First half(Old Testament if you have not caught on).  In two of their games this weekend they scored 60 and 64 points respectively in the second half.

I feel like I have not related much to the “Shaka Smarts” in this thread very much. By this I mean that the “stat heads” may just find this thread to be full of Bible Comparison Rubbish about a Non-Scholarship Basketball team. Below is a picture of some ADV stats of the Aslan(no Jakesie60 this is not their name but I feel like it brings smiles to peoples faces) Lions. Notes to know before meditating on these stats, they have made 572 threes and they broke the record in 2008/2009 for most 3’s made ever in College Basketball.

Manhattan’s information/the best part is coming up on Monday.

EMADUB, since I got a mention in this thread (it is fantastic), I took the opportunity to compile the ADV stats for Multnomah. (I would for MCC, but apparently they don't believe in putting their stats on their website).

Total   Pace   PPP   eFG%   TO%   OR%   FTR
Lions   88.8   1.05   51.1%   15.3%   22.7%   26.8%
Opp   88.8   1.07   51.0%   19.8%   39.1%   24.9%

59.2% of their shots are 3s.

A bunch of no defense playing chuckers.

MCC win% = NFm%D. (non-fishermen percentage of the disciples)

December 17th,I, EMADUB created this thread to enlighten this elite board on how the wild crusaders were doing. We had lost more games than we had won, and just got piss pounded (but not too much) by a really good D-2 team that had players dunk on us and put their junk in our faces.  Since that first post which was actually just my attempt to bring some joy to a fan base that was being conflicted with the idea of Burn it down, the boys in Navy Blue have won 16 out of the last 20 games and despite the media(CCSN and others) hating us and picking us to not win league, we won the regular season title.  Suck it Christian College Sports Network.

Now, after a heart breaking loss to a hated foe at home, we are sitting at a #8 seed ready to take advantage of our gracious second chance. As you probably have already interpreted, My ADV stats vs _Fans advance stats is like comparing The Gaithers to David’s Harp Playing Ability. I clown suited my self by not doing the possessions correct, my EFG% was 30% more and somehow my FTR% was double of what it should have been. I now will never do statistical exegesis in my dim lited monk cave on the back of ancient parchment while waiting for the pigeons to return the news of the KSU wild wildcats/Baptists game.

6pm. We got the prime time spot on http://www.cbcag.edu/page.aspx?pid=1115  ( I do not promise or give oaths  on anything but rather let my yes’s be yes’s and no’s be no’s so if you are sitting there and thinking hey did EMADUB just send us spam? I  sayeth to you: NO!!, that is not spam but rather the link to watch the MCCers play the sport of basketball at 6pm.)  Hopefully the commentators are as good as they have been. I understand if you have a prior commitment to watching the cats dance their last dance in the fOOD, but just know that if you are having pre-game nerves, nothing cures those nerves better than watching division II non-scholarship basketball.

It has been confirmed on here that MCC does not put stats up online. That is because we do not enslave ourselves to stats but rather find basketball freedom through our hearts. We don’t need no stinking stats to beat the team today. We need our pure awesome hearts to be motivated to beat the Lions that dwell in Oregon.

Did you just skip everything to see my prediction? Awesome… Wild Crusaders 97 Aslan the Grey 91.

57-47 at half WILD CRUSADERS!!!!They have to be less than 30% from deep and they have made our 7th man look like the most loved disciple with 15 points I believe. We gotta tighten up on defence and we could be up 20 if not for some stupid misses. But as I stated in one of my Psalm 119 lengthed post they play a way better second half. Strap your sandals into the foot holds on the camel cause this is going to be a thriller of a finish.

Three people in the twenties was enough to stab the lions right through the heart!!! Since the crusaders have have gotten a second chance I will also give it a second go on ADV stats but what you need to know is that we out boarded them 54-25.
That is a bigger margin than the one in my ESV life size Bible.

More Bible jokes and long recaps coming.

Just like Paul longed to visit all the cities he wrote to I have longed to write you guys a post on what to expect in tonight's Evangelical 8 match up between your local crazy cruaders of manhattan and the Ohio Christian trail blazers. Yet everytime I open this thread I get so excited that _Fan actualy posted and computed real life ADV stats for the non scholarship basketball teams that faced off Tuesday and my excitement leads me to accidentally ripping my parchment and making it rain in my room to the beat of Jesus is my Friend.

I have finally calmed my spirit and I am here to tell you three things.

1. Ohio Christian is 17-0 this year against Division II NCCAA teams.

2. Everyone and their super conservative mothers expect OCU to bring home the "all one fabric cause that breaks OT Law 7By7By7 "banner home

3 sometimes conservative moms get it wrong.Like not allowing your kid to play Pokemon, banning the movie Aladin cause it had black magic in it and not allowing access to goEMAW.com. WE ARE going to Win and I don't care if I get grounded!!!

8 seeded(more like great seeded am I right?) Crusaders 82
Ohio Christian "we stole our nickname from a nba team that passed on MJ&KD"Trailblazers 78

EMADUB, I like your spirit.

I enjoy posting and educating in the ways of advanced stats, so contributing to your fine thread is a pleasure. For it does not matter if some follow Paul, others follow Apollos, and still others follow Kenneth, the key is that we are all one in enjoying our tempo free statistics together.

If you must make it rain in your room, I would recommend the early 90s classic "Shine".

Some giants are to big to slay. I knew we were in trouble when in the pregame I figured out I had blasphemied a stat when they said that Ohio had won 19 Games over NCCAA teams and now after our stone just bounced off of gOHiOths head 20 games. We were step for step with them up till they went on a 10-0 tha put then up the amount of the bad spies in Canaan.

In the second half we pulled a Kstate@Ku 2pointOh and cut the lead to six to give hope but the came back and all that hope slipped away like Ninja Jesus did when the crowds got angry at him.

Not all hope is lost because there are two more games to be won and 5th place for a team that loses no one next year so that is the sunlight that still is shining through the trees.

Oh and our girls have a great shot at winning it all after one of our players almost got a triple double today and we won by the amount of chapters in Proverbs. So now I gotta read up on the girly stories of the Bible so I can post something awesome if we are the NUNmber one team in all of the non scholarship division II NCCAA.

Blink 182, McRib, Jesus, Gandalf, MCC Men’s hoops.

Some good things, like really really really good things, seem to disappear for a while, but one day they have/will return better than ever. The final words were written today in the MCC’s bball 2012/2013 book as we came up Zacchaeus short 64-60 to the fourth seed Trinity Baptist. It was an ugly game that was as some of the super elite people on this board call (which I have heard is sometimes referred to as dirty dancing) “a grinder”.

Please don’t be disheartened. Look back with me on this 110+ replies/1650+ view count thread on a college that’s enrolment can only fill 2% of Bramlage. We defeated our bitter rivals twice in the regular season and captured our 7th straight regular season conference title. We managed to make the big dance and make the Evangelical Eight. There were amazing Jacob Ladder High points and super Dead Sea Low points, but I don’t know about you guys, there is no one I would rather ride that emotional roller-coaster than the wild crusaders of manhattan.  23-13 is our record but you guys in my eyes and heart the crusaders were 24-12 because we should not have lost to Barclay at home, pretty sure their tip in was after the buzzer.

So you might be sitting there asking yourself two things.. Have I really gotten emotionally attached to a Division II Non-Scholarship NCCAA Team? And Is this the last EMADUB post in this thread? That answer as Paul would state, BY NO MEANS!!! OUR FREAKING GIRLS ARE PLAYINGFOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOMORROW NIGHT AFTER DETHROWNING THE SIX TIME DEFENDING CHAMP AND#1 RANKED (CCSN power rankings) TONIGHT BY 20 POINTS!!!

So there will be one last post, whether it will be full of love joy peace patience(you finish the rest) or one off Weeping and Mourning only time and a Woman’s Basketball game between the two best non-scholarship Division II bible school teams will decide.

Not Your Average Jacob/Leah/Rachel Love Story You heard in Sunday School as a child

   (https://goemaw.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fupload.wikimedia.org%2Fwikipedia%2Fen%2F9%2F96%2FLeah%2526Rachel.jpg&hash=a4046f8780b706051489a8e69af6397539412282)

In this version of Leah and Rachel, Leah (Maranatha Baptist Bible College) claims that she came their first and Jacob should love her more because “she deserves it more”. He is whipped and says “ok whatever you say Leah.” Rachel(MCC) is still more of a beautiful and better team than the rest, and they can keep their heads held up high.  The margin of victory was the same as the days Jesus went ham on the devil while He lay in the tomb. We also missed 7 free throws in a row which plagued  us worse than the frog plague in Exodus.

Oh golly gee. I feel like a raca(Greek word for Tard Barn)

My post seemed to not be inerrant as I forgot to say "for maranatha" after the word victory in the third verse of my  sub headline.

So to answer your question bluntly. The women lost. 57-54.

Hey, Gang. CanCo here.

Sorry for my absence from the board for a while--I feel like I've been away for longer than half of Methuselah's birthdays! Anyway, I hope you're all doing well and getting ready for the Passiontide, which this year starts around the exact same time that the chicken nuggets Cats should be cutting down the nets in Kemper.

As you can tell from EMADUB's posts, it was a wild ride for our Junkyard Crusaders this year. Despite our loss to known PED-users Maranatha, I am proud to call myself one of the 187 to witness (as in "view", not "witness" in the religious sense) this magical season :peek:.  I know I speak for all of us here on goEMAW.com when I say that I hope next season comes as quickly as Joseph made ready his chariot to go to Goshen! Our boys have the ferocity of the Assyrians and the devotion and courage of Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego, so I have no doubt we will bring home the hardware next year.

Anyway, here's a picture I snapped from our game against Multnomah.

Crusaders, man. Crusaders.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to make my way to Rome to meet up with my old pal JMB to chat with him about his new job.

PS. EMADUB wins all Csourkys this year. Case closed.

I miss this thread. EMADUB, any update on wild wild crusader 'cruits???

Remember that one time Manti Teo and Lance Armstrong got busted in one week and you thought….How on earth(in which God created in “6” days) will SNL be able to cover all these jokes and then SNL came through again to make you ROFL all over the place? Well I hope you have the same mustard seed faith in EMADUB to cover ground for his 29 day fast that has felt like 53 weeks.

Cruits? You can bet(not really that is a sin) your bottom dollar that the small one block Christian Campus of Manhattan is bringing in more valuable Cruits than darics of gold donated to the Temple. Wanna know about our volleyball team that is looking for a shot the ship? Reloaded. How about our flagship athletic program(soccer)? They have been blowing up my parchment feed with stud recruits committing to wild crusaders.  I would comment on our cross country team, but that would violate the NCCAA Torah for athletes posting on elite rebel boards about their sport they participate in(We are going to Jericho destroy our opponents). That covers the sports from Rosh Hashana to the Festivals of Lights.

Now to the sports that I have been so gracious to update GE’ers on for 5 pages. On the men’s side, we already had enough talent to eliminate the competition, but we did not fast from recruiting, rather we added some key talent to make sure the end of this thread is a pic of Fairchild packed (lol not Pak’d) with MCCers having a 7 day festival celebrating our 2014 NCCAA Men’s Non-Scholarship Basketball National Championship. For the Women Crusaders, I have heard rumors and grumblings that we recruited a gal that is more clutch than Esther, so that should help us bring in just another royal blue banner and help us reclaim the title , BannerTown.

Blessings

What will be #1??? Probably our lady wild crusaders beating the five time defending NCCAA Division II Non-Scholarship Women's B-ball champions in the semis to advance to the big game. Dark horse(as in the surprise pick and has nothing to do with the dark horse that divides up the grub in the end times) choice? Our soccer 'saders winning in PK's to get 3rd in the nation(of D-2 NCCAA soccer schools).  So tough to choose from BannerTown tho. So glad I am not on that committee.

Also heard City Auditorim got its floor refinished. We are so blessed.

4

4 Gospels, 4 Ways to Read Revelation, 4 Minutes to walk around the entire MCC campus,  43 Days until MCC Men’s Wild Crusader Hoops tips off

There has been a lot of buzz and fizz around here about the number 4 in relation to the Kansas State University Football team, but that talk has does not stop once you cross Anderson. No sir E.

Our lady wild crusader volley ball team?… 4th in the nation.
Our men’s rootin tootin wild crusader soccer team?   4th in the nation

Our volley girls came out of the gate on fire. Last Friday, some team from Joplin Missery came into City Auditorium ranked 4th in the nation cause they beat some NAIA school in the boonies. But our ladies welcomed into our tent and SPIKED them into the ground.. the next day we traveled down to Newton and beat a scholarshiped team in five sets. We don’t need no stinking money.

Questions concerning our soccer team where mainly about how we were going to replace last year’s talent with all our new kids.… what a pathetic question only asked by worthless swine. We have risen to the four spot in the nation with a date next Tuesday with the #1 team out of all the non-scholarship D-II NCCAA men’s soccer team. 1997 was the last year we lost our region. I have heard Florida is a nice place in November. I heard it from the past 15 teams to go to Nationals.

We are back Go Emaw Friends.  Go 4th and have a great week.

Despite the rumor that the men’s team was going to do a rendition of the Prince of Egypt (When You Believe by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston) was as a big of hoax as peteranswers.com, Late Night with the Blue and White was a smashing success. For the first time in years, City Auditorium was filled with students getting all riled up for this upcoming wild crusader basketball season.

The season tips off this Friday against the old Alumni Team and the season will officially start on Halloween Night against Oklahoma Baptist at their place. It will take more than a smooth stone and a sling to bring down that team, but who knows what miracles you can achieve when you believe. I hear rumblings that the check we receive to play OBU is enough to expand (fix the broken seats) City Auditorium.

So you may be sitting there asking, “Mr. EMADUB is there anything to look forward to this upcoming season for the WildCrusaders?” Are you blind? Do you need to go spit in some dirt and rub your eyes? By all means there are plenty of things to look forward to. Within the span of one week in February, MCC’s three biggest rivals come to town, including the return of Hillsdale FreeWill Baptist. I had to go to both services on Sunday to receive forgiveness for how angry I got the last time the visited Manhattan. This could be the last year we play Grace so we will need to shake off all of our dust upon them. And Ozark…well they lost their savior and he is not coming back, he graduated. We return some key stars, signed some legit recruits, and still have the second winningest coach in Kansas walking the sidelines.

Start breaking out the Macarena and One Sweet Day GoEmawers. It’s time to party like its 1996. Let’s win that banner.

Don’t forget your tradition towel, bring it to every game.

Let’s talk Crusaders

Shalom. Last week was championship week for all National Christian College Athletic Association Division Two(Non-Scholarship) athletes. Ladies & Gentlemen Boys & Girls, it was a blasty blast. Kids across America that go to Bible Colleges and also play sports got to compete for a National Championship. It was not the best week for the Crusaders but we fought past some adversity and finished with our heads held high. The soccer team had some calls that were as bad as Jezebel, and only one of our coaches got tossed. The volleyball team ate some chicken that should have been deemed unclean and lost in the semifinal round. This was the last year EMADUB ran the sport of XC, and I was so dang proud of my team. We brought home a fourth place plaque, finishing behind all NCAA Division 3 schools, and our #1 got All American.

Jesus probably said to his disciples, “It’s good to be back”. I said the same thing when I watched our wild crusaders play some b-ball in City Auditorium. If you look at our record(1-5), you would think that things are not going so hot over at 1415 Anderson. But looking at the record is just like taking verses out of context to condemn people on their life styles, ITS STUPID!!! In all games against scholarshiped NAIA schools, we have lost but put up some great fights. In three games, we have overcome 15+ deficits to cut it within one possession in the second half. One time we dunked it and got fouled, I could have brought the walls of Jericho down with how loud I cheered. This team has fight, style, and the look of a NCCAA DII Championship contender. It is going to be a fun season, I hope you guys can come along.

Family, Football, Turkey, Making fun of other team’s empty stadiums. That is what next week is all about. I am thankful I accidently stumbled across a YouTube video about Michael Beasley Scoring 50 in High School that linked me to ksufans and then on to goEMAW. You guys are really funny/cool people. Have a good one.

If you thought our guy Sherman’s smack talk was good wait to you hear about the ole rooting tooting wild crusaders latest @ing. After walking out of the recently famous city Omaha with a win against the Grace Royals, one of our players sent a tweet to their athletic feed saying

Quote
“Guess it's safe to say there's only one reason to come to Omaha, to beat Grace #4and0 @graceroyals #Mullet”

Hold on to your tunics it gets better
Our facebook page has just recently created an event for the Grace Royals game back here in the hat. Here is the description for the event.

Quote
“The City Auditorium is one of the most intimidating places to play in the country thanks to the best student section in the nation.
On January 31, 2014 region rival Grace University comes to town for what should be the last time EVER. Our rival has decided to leave the NCCAA II for 'greener pastures.' Come support your MCC basketball teams and help send GU home with the best going away present MCC has to offer, a loss.”

Wozers. First off THE City Auditorium. Secondly, phrases like “greener pastures” and “best going away present MCC has to offer…a loss” have to be the greatest Christian smack talk since John @ed Peter’s slow running ability in John 20: 4-10.  Last time we saw Grace in City, they took our region. Revenge may not be Biblical, but it will be fun. Sadly EMADUB cannot make this game. Missing this game will be a thorn in my flesh, but I will survive.  We have plenty more games in the CA that will be just as entertaining.

We have gotten off to a 4-0 start in the conference with two big wins on the road (Grace and Ozark). Grace forgot that making two free throws would tie the game and after our guy made two clutch free throws, we won 59-56 . Ozark brought out a lot of fans dressed in white only to watch the wild crusaders win another game in Joplin 85-79. After halftime(MCC 54- OCC41), the enemy went on a 16-2 run to take the lead. Our coach(second winniest in KS btw) must have said “DADGUMN’T! enough tom foolery lets beat these guys” We received his words and put into action leaving Ozark fans back to focusing on their main sport, Bible Sword Drills.

We got three games left before “FebALLTHEMCCHOMEGAMESruary.” First is against Central Christian College of the Bible(“Tre- C- B” as we like to call them or “not good”), second is against Saint Louis Christian College( Lost to Tre C B), and Union who we beat earlier this year.

Hope all is going well with everyone at goEMAW.

Blessings.

Have you ever read Lamentations and then the story of the Resurrection on back to back days? Me either, but if I have I bet I would have the same mood swing as I did last weekend. Grace came to play and kept us at arm’s length the whole game. We copied the style of our inner-city rival by digging ourselves in a big hole in the first half, getting right back in it late and then letting the other team come away with the victory. Luckily we have one more shot at them before they ascend into the NAIA. The next day we hosted the athletic, scrappy and #7 in the latest National Christian College Athletic Association Division II(Non-Scholarship) Men’s Basketball Top 10 pole, Hillsdale Free Will Baptist. Like Peter in the garden we came out swinging and grabbed a huge lead in the first half. No ears where chopped off in the process. They hit some big shots in the second half and put a run together to grab a 4 point lead late in the game. That is when our big man in the middle who never played basketball in high school took over. We pulled away and even got in a little Christian Skirmish in the last minutes. We prayed afterwards so we are all good. After this whirlwind weekend, we stayed ranked #8 in the polls with Grace right on our tunics at #9.

Our attention is now focuses on the Ambassadors of Ozark Christian College. They visit Manhattan tomorrow night at 7pm. Most of you are now educated on this rivalry. You know that this has a Jacob and Esau feel to it and a win could make or break the season. Last game was a track meet, with both teams stringing runs together with the good guys coming out on top. We are trying to stuff the CA full, 187 strong. EMAC!!!

What are games like at City Auditorium? Well just imagine sitting with your best buds/family poking fun of the other team and the refs for two hours while watching your favorite team in all the land bring joy to all who attend. Since we do not follow the tradition of group chants, most one liner jokes are heard by all. Funny jokes like calling refs “footlocker”, telling opposing players their missed dunk was on Ustream & seen by everyone’s grandma, and mocking player’s sound effects are heard echoing the CA. Last Saturday was the last game the Mccers would play in the MHK for this 2013-2014 season. The refs defiantly made it a great one to go to. Both teams were in the bonus faster than it takes to read Jude. We were also blessed with four technical fouls, and all of them made as much since as Revelations. Despite it being evident that the stripes received some darics from Baptist Bible, we annihilated the Patriots. That win gave us the #1 seed in the region.

For those that do not know, The Midwest Christian College Conference Title runs through Manhattan KS. We clinched our #8thStraight conference championship after beating Calvary by 70x7. Well not by that much, but I could not think of a fun Bible joke about beating a team by 60 points. Skinny, Ozark was as clutch as your flight. They slapped us in the face with some fortunate 3-balls in the 1st half to grab a 44-42
lead at intermission. We decided to not turn the other cheek and absolutely piss pound them in the final 10 minutes of the 2nd half. In the last 8 years we have reined king over the MCCC, we have had a 79-5 conference record. It has been amazing to be a wild crusader fan during the Eight Years of Epikrátisi(Greek for Dominance)

Every king has their Bathsheba, ours is post season tournaments. This senior class has not ever won a post season tournament. We have three chances to make that seem like an outdated law. The first one comes this weekend.  Sometimes I joke that some teams we play should just be called byes, but in all seriousness, due Nebrasketball Christian no longer aligning themselves with the MCCC, we  got a first round bye. The 2nd annual MCCC Bracket will be updated after tomorrow’s intense non-scholarship bible college basketball games.

Roll ‘saders.

Were you locked in the upper room terrified with fear thinking that Manhattan Christian College Thunder season was dead? Well Doubting Thomas, gaze your eyes on these scores! Despite starting 2-11 and losing two conference games, your rootin-tootin thunder have gone into three towns in Missouri and got three important victory while shaking the dust off of our shoes.  Pretty sure the NIV had only one version the last time we lost to CCCB and our streak continued getting a victory 70-47. The other team in our region, Baptist Bible College will not get free pastries at the local coffee shop as they failed to score 70 in our fourth win of the year(76-68). Our fifth win came against the one school that always breaks the ninth commandment by coveting our athletic ability. Ozark, or Krazo(their name backward, lolz), had a great shot to grab a win against us at home. But their potential game winning layup fell Zacchaeus short and the accredited school from the west got a huge road win in City Auditorium East.

Our final two away games of the year will be played over the next few days against Calvary and Union. Then the walls of City Auditorium will be filled with the Holy Spirit/crazy loud M-C-C *clap* chants for 8str8 games. With the conference and region title on line, this last month of basketball may be better than the time I met Bibleman in person.

Sorry for being as “silent” as the first 30 minutes in the new heaven. Lots has happened at the corner of 14th and Anderson over the past few weeks. There has been a time for joy and a time to mourn. We lost one of our own to cancer. Larry Olson was my dorm dad, my cross country coach and my friend. He and his wife were surrogate parents to 80 men every year. He was born on April Fool’s day and lived up to being a prankster throughout my life and always had a fun conversation with the guys in the dorm when pranks happened. He helped all of us know how to love those close to us well and he was the most selfless man I knew. While I helped coach Cross Country this past year, he pushed through the pain and came to every meet he could. I learned a lot from Larry and will be eternally grateful I got the chance to hang out with him for four years. If you pass by MCC or see this thread in the near future, send your thoughts and prayers for his family and the guys in the dorm. You guys rock more than Petra.

If you are a bit sad after reading this, watch this video.  http://youtu.be/iWqAnKPONDQ The old will be gone (City Auditorium), the new will come (We better come up with a super duper awesome name for our gym). No idea when all this is taking place but as the Reverend Stephen Curtis Chapman once said "Saddle up your horses, we got a trail to blaze."

Have you ever fallen behind in your daily reading plan and had to end up reading the sub titles and guess what the premise is? Well prepare your hearts and minds for an Elijah-like whirlwind of information regarding the tenacious Thunder of Manhattan Christian College.

Lukewarm Start

The beginning of the 2015/2016 season had both its Sinai Highs and Dead Sea Lows. After failing to win the conference the year before, the Thunder got revenge on the defending champion Faith Baptist Bible and did so convincingly. This came a week after the Thunder traveled to Moberly where they have had great success against another conference foe: Tre-C-B(Central Christian College of the Bible). I did not witness the game but only received information passed down. We shot as well as Peter’s promise keeping skills in the first half and failed to make a comeback in the second half. Just as Samuel’s ghost haunted Saul, so did this loss on the Thunder’s season.

Thunder begin their ministry

By ministry, I mean domination. After falling to 5-6, the Thunder had one New Year’s resolution: be really freaking good at the game at basketball. Unlike Solomon, who probably made it a goal every year to not marry any more women, the Thunder were successful with their resolution. The thunder went 15-3 in the regular season games, including a season sweep of our un-accredited rival Ozark and a win against the top ranked team in all of NCCAA Division 2.

MCC reinstates themselves as kings of the MCCC

Remember when I said the CCCB loss haunted the Thunder? Despite splitting the season series with our in-state rival Barclay, our loss to CCCB ended up placing us in 2nd place as Barclay only dropped one game in the conference. In the conference tournament in our other home court(Ozark), both the Bears and Thunder marched their way into the championship game. Some people predicted a fantastic close game between the two rivals. Jesus said there would be false prophets and he was correct, we won by 25 and cut down the nets.

The Road to Ankeny

With the Thunder picking up momentum towards the end of the season and playing some really freaking good basketball, they had one more roadblock before Nationals. Win the region. 3rd times the charm is not in the Bible and it did not work for Baptist Bible College in the regional semifinal. We faced Tre-C-B for the fourth time this season and second time in a week. Despite having the home crowd and some valiant comebacks, the Thunder defeated CCCB and won the Central region for back-to-back seasons for the first time in school history. Today the teams were announced for the tourney and the Thunder are the #2 seed. 10 teams, 0 scholarships, 1 true champion. #rollthunder

Remember when Goliath looked across the field and  asked what the h-e-double-hockey-sticks is that kid doing here? Well our baptists friends from Waco will be asking the same question as one of the best teams from the National Christian College Athletic Association Division 2  faces off with a ranked National College Athletic Association opponent.

One of MCC's longtime rivals Hillsdale Freewill Baptist(now known as Randal University) will be facing Scott Drew's Baptist Bears this Saturday the 9th. What excites me the most about this matchup is that the transitive property can be applied here. Say BU>RU and MCC>RU and KSU>BU. At first logic would say KSU>BU>MCC>RU. BUT THE SPIRIT DEFIES LOGIC, KSU/MCC SHOULD BE PLAYED

For years I have prayed that Kansas State and MCC would duel. I would love it if the 1st half was played in the fOOD and the 2nd half was played in THE HAC. YOU GUYS MCC NOW HAS A GYM AND DOES NOT HAVE TO PAY A FEE TO THE MANHATTAN PARKS AND REC FOR CITY AUDITORIUM THAT HAD SEATS MISSING. The HAC(Howie's Activity Center) is located right in the middle of campus! MCC got destroyed by Washburn earlier but WHO CARES GO CHECKS MADE OUT TO OUR ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT. So another beatdown and another check for the Lord would not hurt anyone. MCC did beat McPherson College(scholarshiped team) for the first time in program history so that deserves an amen.

anyways I was just dreaming.  Hope everyone is having a great Advent season

Wow, I would probably get John if I took the buzzfeed test as to which Gospel writer I would be because of how long I wait to post. Hope this does not change your opinion of my writing and make you question whether I changed any main points of my story to fit my narrative.

MCC plays schools of all denominations, Catholic, Baptist, Quaker, Methodist, Lutheran, Secular, and especially the "non-denomination" colleges. I wish more denomination smack was shared during games

Lutheran school to Catholic School: We got 95 points and also 95 problems but losing ain't one.

Catholics to Protestants: We are making it rain 3s which is technically baptism so neener neener

Independent Church of Christ to Disciples of Christ: We just opened the flood gates in the second half which technically baptism by immersion so now we can accept you as members.

Personally there is only one denomination/school I truly enjoy seeing MCC beat. For years they were un-accredited and average at basketball. Tonight they will send their ambassadors to the "liberal school" in Manhattan. Despite finally getting accredited from the higher learning council they will remain the Essau to our Jacob. For my 200th post, GO THUNDER'SADERS, BEAT OZARK.

Brothers and Sisters of goEMAW

It has been far to long since I have written you. I hope you have kept faith in our Lord and Savior oscar and have held stead fast in believing in the return of the fire and ice defense. Unfortunately, I have not been around 1415 Anderson in quite sometime. The rootin tootin thunder do not play in City Auditorium anymore(187 strong), the second winningest coach in Kansas appointed his disciple to run the program and there appears to be an instate challenger to Ozark(remember those nimrods?) for a rival. One thing has remained the same and that is how much heart the team plays with. This season has brought about much adversity, and instead of blaming fatigue from their in season tournament in Ankeny, IA, this team fought through it. They have seriously been in my T's/P's as they grieved the loss of a former player/assistant coach. #LLCW. MCC co-won the MCCC regular season title and  outright tournament title, MCC and MCCC go together like a sermon at the end of a fiscal year on tithing.  Last night in the NCCAA Division 2 Non Scholarship Tournament they fought against the Royals of Johnson University, it was an instant classic that will be on U-stream+ for years to come. Unfortunately this Thunder lost in 2Ot but this team has a lot to take pride (not the sin) in. They have a chance to end their season on a win and then look forward to the season ahead

Grace and Peace

Dear Brother and Sisters,

As we enter our 2nd Sunday of Lent, let us reflect on Psalm 121.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?

For the rootin tooting thunder, help has come so many players at different times of the season. The upperclassmen shined at the end of the year bringing home the Midwest Christian College Conference regular season(4th straight) and tournament championships(3rd straight).

the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life;

While this was promised to the people of Israel, it was not true for many of MCC's opponents(12-0 in the MCCC, 18-4 since Jan 1)  Peter denied Christ as many times as MCC beat Ozark this season. The combined score of all three games was 281-182. *Googles Greek word for Gargantuan*.

the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Lots has changed since this thread started in 2012. Johnson hall is no longer occupied, the city auditorium(187 strong) no longer is the home of the thunder, and I am no longer in the same city/state as my alma mater. One thing that has not changed is the excellence that mcc thunder basketball program shows both on and off the court. It was exemplified with a distinguished alumni making the journey from 1415 Anderson to 1800 College Ave. The discipline and love that MCC's faculty and coaches cultivated in Nate, shown bright all year and I would be breaking the 9th commandment if I said that I did not shed a tear hearing the chants for him at the end of the game last Wednesday. The Thunder have another opportunity to #KingChase this year as word just came from the dove that they received the 2nd seed in the NCCAA DII Tournament in City Auditorium East(Joplin,MO).

Grace and Peace,

EMADUB
