Mitch is pretty much dead to me. Died when he gratuitously tried to shame K-State fans about Dana Altman on air (repeatedly), possibly the most unprofessional thing I've ever heard from a radio play-by-play guy ever.
Stonestreet is an actor, they're all kind of that way. I live in an area where there's lot of film and tv work and there's lots of bit part guys/gals that have been in major films and major TV productions. Some even had huge roles in dumpster fire made for TV movies and History/NatGeo/Discovery docu-drama's that live here. Nice people, but huge drama queens with a sense of self importance and entitlement. It comes with the territory.

Stonestreet was pretty cool dude when I was introduced to him in Kites. He was the one asking questions and creating conversation. Very personable and not rude at all. Maybe it was because I wasn't all up in his face like a drunk Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) who gets overly excited about people they see on tv. We also pointed out the creepy people together.

Stonestreet is an actor, they're all kind of that way. I live in an area where there's lot of film and tv work and there's lots of bit part guys/gals that have been in major films and major TV productions. Some even had huge roles in dumpster fire made for TV movies and History/NatGeo/Discovery docu-drama's that live here. Nice people, but huge drama queens with a sense of self importance and entitlement. It comes with the territory.
I don't know. They're all drama queens, but yeah, they're actors. A lot of folks who make it big in entertainment weren't the coolest kids growing up, and they still carry that insecurity. Sometimes it manifests itself by acting "too cool" when they go back home. Minor revenge fantasy. But we're all human and flawed.

Interesting fact: If you ask theater professors who were here when Stonestreet was, he wasn't really regarded as a great actor. He was obviously above average, but nothing incredibly special. Acting seems like such a crap shoot. Lots of good actors will work their ass off and never make it, and a lot of crappy ones will catch a break early.

You can hate on Weird Al all you want but his act is basically the same as it ever was, we're just older now. And you have to tip your cap to a dude who has managed to stay relevant (in his genre, at least) and extremely profitable on the music scene for over three decades. I mean, that staying power is unreal, even if he has cycled through a few generations of fanbases.

"An Evening with Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson" will be at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, in McCain Auditorium as an addition to the already star-studded 2014-2015 McCain Performance Series.
Stonestreet is a two-time Emmy winner and 1996 Kansas State University alumnus. Ferguson has received five consecutive Emmy nominations for his work on the hit series "Modern Family," in which he stars alongside Stone street
For their McCain show, Stonestreet and Ferguson will provide an intimate glimpse into television's behind-the-scenes happenings, diverse and hilarious discussions and an extensive Q-and-A session with the audience. The live show is a fun opportunity for die-hard viewers who wish to connect with the popular cast members and enjoy face time with two stars that television screens simply cannot provide. Ferguson describes it as similar to "us being in your living room."
Tickets to "An Evening with Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson" are $39-$150, with student tickets 50 percent off. Applicable taxes and fees may apply. Tickets can be purchased online starting at 8 a.m. today, Aug. 18. Tickets also may be purchased at the McCain Auditorium box office or by calling 785-532-6428 beginning at 11:30 a.m. today.
