I like Jazz apples. They are a combo of a Braeburn and a Gala.
I also enjoy Fuji.
-
I like the really tart ones like Granny Smith with peanut or almond butter

Braeburn. I've loved them since high school (science facts) All other apples are inferior (more facts) Therefore, Braeburns are the best.
Everyone else just stop talking.

Gala is my clear go-to, but the crop over the past year has been meh. Never had Jazz, but intrigued.
What are the disgusting mushy, pulpy ones with the red veins in them? I hate it when I try something "new", and it ends up being one of those. Need to avoid.

little known factoid about apples- they're actually the same thing as tomatoes

I think you are wrong, pissclams. I have grown both apples and tomatoes, and while the two fruits are virtually indistinguishable, apples grow on trees, while tomatoes grow on plants that stay low to the ground.

Hmmm. I had never thought of it that way. That's a very good point. Still, apples only grow on mature trees. You can't just plant an apple tree and get apples on the first year like you can with a tomato tree. I still don't think they are quite the same.

Wow, sounds like someone has never been apple picking in Michigan before. LMAO. What a chump.

as long as an apple is crisp it's good. Strawberries might be the WOAT fruit.

the cameo is good. i've had a few poor ones, but most have been very tasty. a little more flavor than the honeycrisps, with lots of sweet and lots of crisp.
