Guys, today I went through one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. Driving through rush hour traffic on 69 South in KC I was coasting in the right hand lane at 65mph when I was approached by a large SUV barring into my lane. He had no turn signal and couldn't hear my horn. The jackass was going to take me out. I had two options. Take the hit and fly a hundred yards into a ditch to my right or James Bond the crap out of it. My instincts took over and I broke and swerved right. Unfortunately, since we were going at high speeds, my car started to wabble like it was about to flip, so I pulled the wheel all the way to the left until my car turned around in a 180 direction crossing 3 lanes and slamming into the median. I hopped out of the car and ran to safety. You can see the pic of my car facing traffic on twitter at @fanningksu (I don't know how to post pics here). Moral of the story, be safe this forth of july and don't take life for granted. I thought I was going to die. I'm going to do something with my life this time around and you'll see. Something big! Let the games begin. :ksu:

You need to watch the Duke boys more often, but watch more closely. crap was always flying off the car, but then they would cut to a different angle and Bo and Luke were :driving: like bosses. God that show was awesome.

I slammed into the wall after I slid at a 180 angle. It was the first thing to hit. It just snapped right off. Bolts were still attached to the tire and all.

Just got a call from my insurance guy, car is totalled. Now all I do from here is set back and let the insurance company bend me over and low ball me for "what my car is worth". :emawkid:

This happened to my brother a couple months ago. His car wasn't worth much in the first place, but he called the state's Insurance Commissioner who agreed to pay for the rest of the repair the insurance company wouldn't pay for (like $350).
The whole system is mumped up, we are paying them to later screw us royally down the road, and they get to just make up numbers for how much they want to pay /endrant.
