Angel is fearless. Which right now makes you go :excited: and then :ohno: in the same game several times. Next year, his fearless play will just be :gocho: almost all of the time.

it wasn't his best game. oth, he was by far kstate's best guard (not counting mcgruder as a guard, obv.).

He did have 13pts. That was nice. And his reverse layup was big. He had some really bright spots. On the whole, though, his play was mediocre.

I would say he was mediocre the first half and above average in the second.
I say it all the time, but he is the only player that can create a decent shot that doesn't come out of the offense. That was really big in the 2nd.

He simply made plays no other guard could make. You have to take the bad with the good with Angel.
We won't win the next game without him playing well.

No question. He had some positives and some negatives. Played an OK game. Just sayin he didn't play "really well" or :D
But, yeah, he's certainly the best guard not named Rodney. Obviously, that's more an indictment of our other guards.

It's not like I trust him today, don't trust him tomorrow. It's not like I trust him with 10 minutes to go and not trust him with two minutes to go. When you coach, you know, you create faith in players. And that's what the season brings, it brings that trust and that confidence in each other. You know, he made some mistakes. He's a freshman. You should have asked the gentleman from the NCAA sitting next to my bench, what I kept telling him, These freshmen are going to drive me nuts, make me cry on national TV. But my trust in kids doesn't come from a mistake in a game. My trust in kids comes from that daily commitment to get better, to try and do the right things. And when they do that, it's my job to trust 'em, not to run away from them. And I've got tremendous faith in him. That's why you saw him out there making the plays he made towards the end of the game.
