I just rented the DVD of this, there is a HILARIOUS deleted scenes section where Sirr was killed in the bonfire accident. I was laughing so hard that Dr. Pepper was coming out of my nose.

So much you could put in this thread. Dude was the master of headlines and troll-y video titles. He would have weird random lash-outs at random times that I always considered jokes and subsequently lol'd at. And also, one aspect of him that has been overlooked is that in addition to him being EMAW to the core, he also was an MHS Indh to the core, too.
If you want to honor fats this weekend, one way you could do it is to go play tennis. And when you do, make every shot a blistering one that is f*cking impossible for your opponent to return.

The first time I met fatty we were talking about how we became EMAW. I told him about how my family all went to K-State and I grew up going to games, went to the last game in Ahearn, was named after Steve Henson, etc. He stared at me and goes "Jesus Christ, you were born with a silver spoon in your hand. Do you know the obstacles I had to overcome to become a K-State fan? My parents hated sports. I was BANNED from going to K-State games. I had to sneak out of the house to go! Stevesie60, you don't know how good you had it being EMAW."

this guy got me in trouble for my EMAW back during the 2000 season.
You see, the computers back then were on a network shared throughout the school. Thus, you can edit a file on a computer in...say..C-Hall, then go to a computer in A-hall and edit the same file. I took full advantage of this by making a cute MS-paint file, where I would announce my game predictions graphically. People could give their feedback on the same file. It was a real neat thing!
one day i got taken into mr. mccarty's office. he told me to delete the file as it violates some computer code.
get into your time machine and lets go to boulder 2006 for the cu-ksu game. W, baba and me are enjoying a free continental breakfast at the local ramada inn. In comes in mr. mccarty. the only reason this f*ck is there is because his brother is now a KSU football coach (o-line). My dad recognizes him and goes all baba on him (kk would know this). He then looks at me, I look at him.
At that moment he recognized the situation. mother f*cker.

Anyway, what if klein turns out to be amazing? I'm holding out hope that he's really friggin good. But if he was really good, i'm assuming we would have heard some "rumblings" from some sources, and i haven't heard much.
What do you guys think? Is there a chance? Or have i just taken too much nyquil again? hahah. :D

and you know what? at least 20 % of those people join in. And twenty percent ain't bad.

After some initial creepiness involving close analysis of pictures of me, the folks that populate the goEMAW.com forums have been open-minded and welcoming. Much of the support for EMAW expressed on this site is based on the idea that EMAW is not an acronym, but a distinct feeling of pride in K-State. They describe this feeling eloquently on their website. I believe, however, that their supposition that EMAW is not an acronym is incorrect. The pictures of Ahearn field house supporting EMAW as a tradition say “Every Man a Wildcat.” Furthermore, if EMAW is merely a reflection of a distinct and independent feeling one gets from being a K-Stater, then why do we need the “M”? A more accurate reflection of that feeling would be a gender-neutral one.
Because we grew up with it being EMAW not EPAW. You never see "every man a wildcat" uttered anymore. EMAW is just plain silly, and an extension of us KSU fans, and how we survive in an otherwise out-manned conference. We utter EMAW, other big 12 fans laugh and giggle. We love it. It's why is became so popular. Other big 12 fans ask, "what does emaw stand for?" We reply, "you'd never understand."
And unfortunately, I don't think you understand either Beth. I'm not blaming you, the actions on the other side are just as pathetic.

I remember meeting some friends from KU to grab a bite a couple days before we played KU in Lawrence in basketball this year. We are being polite about eachothers teams and not getting to deep in the rivalry. Then, one says "One thing I do kinda think is dumb though, is EMAW" I think about fatty's post and how right he was. How outsiders may mock it, but EMAW is ours and is a sacred thing. I told him how I love it and how they wouldn't understand it. If that post doesn't describe our fanbase, our commitment, and our bond together, then I don't know what does.

I only knew fats from the boards, but he was one of the best. In recent months I would always get excited to see one of his posts because I thought it meant he was going to be a regular again. I have gotten emotional reading through this thread, somewhat strange for someone I have never met. But there it is, a little bit of truth amidst the anonymity of the internet. Fats deserves at least that much.

There weren't too many students left after Harrel threw his 6th td of the day, so fatty (didn't know who he was at the time) made his way down to the front row with us. Immediately told me "hey I think his name is Crabtree, Crabtree, just Crabtree."

Devastating...it's hard for me to type all this, but:

We (my wife, tortuga, trips) were about 4 or 5 rows up in the student section in a more than half empty Bramlage coliseum. We were losing at halftime but we persevered. There was a New Mexico fan that was standing behind us that trips talked mad crap on after the game, it was actually pretty awkward. During halftime I was chosen for a pumpkin pie eating contest and trips was my biggest fan in the crowd.
After victory was assured, we started this KSU chant, which was immortalized by him here:

I'll never forget and will always miss him apologizing to Pete for Pete's unfortunate birthday.
When he first learned that I had a bunch of games on tape, I got a PM from him on whatever board we were on at the time, asking me what I had. My idiotic reply of something along the lines of "a bunch of games on tape" aggravated him, and he asked me to list my entire "catalog."
Eventually we had an arrangement of me shipping/bringing him boxes of VHS tapes, which he'd work through to supplement his library and eventually convert to DVD for me. Of course, one time he shipped the latest batch of DVDs to my office "ATTN: Trim", which was awkward. I still have a box of fff-brand DVDs spanning a decade of EMAW games all with his customized DVD covers made on his home printer.
I think my first extended time hanging out with him was at the spring game where KSU had a "garage sale" in the indoor training facility. I got to observe his giddiness over the table of old $1 game DVDs, and him filling up a laundry bag that KSU was using as shopping bags with them. It made me happy.
Last time hanging out with him was in Manhattan for the OSU football game at Houlihan's. Despite it being a place where people who didn't care about football went for dinner to escape EMAW, fatty and tortuga turned it into the most raucous sports bar in town that night, even making me give a crap about OBz and his football team for one night that season. We all then went to aggieville, fatty still in his sweatpants, not giving a eff.
He'd PM me relentlessly about cancer and what he could do or say to make things better for his brother, to the point where I was hearing about cancer so much that I got it in my head that I had it again and had to go to the doctor for confirmation I was fine.
He made me laugh a lot over the years and he made me cry today.

And then he would often follow it with this guy: :D FFF was crazy smart but would always have hilarious random misspellings of kinda-hard-but-not-too-hard words that I always figured he spelled wrong on purpose just because it made it look funnier. I'll never forget the time that I saw Fatty celebrating like we won the national championship on the concourse of the Devaney Center after we beat Nebrasketball last year. He was just so damn happy and the NU fans were getting so pissed at him. :love:
I saw Fatty in the concourse after the game and gave him a high five. It was a big enough moment for me (I'm giving FFF a high five!) that I drew a picture of it and emailed it to a friend.
The last time I saw Fatty was in the concourse at the KU football game in Lawrence last year. He was with his family. I told him how I could read a post on goEMAW, not think it was funny, and then after realizing it was one of his posts, immediately start laughing for minutes. He was pretty happy about this and had me repeat this to his siblings.

You just new the moment you saw it, it was going to be great. I had the privilege of meeting fatty one time, I work at the union bookstore and I recognized him from the the you tube video of him wabashing. I introduced myself and we chatted up the cats. He was so good at keeping a conversation going and bringing up great points. When he was leaving I said it was nice to talking to him and I made the comment that he wasnt even close to being fat, so why the screen name? He just looked at me and smilled. overall great person. Jarrod Smith, their junior wr from san francisco community college, decides to bring it out (a couple of fans in the student section egged him on) he brings it out and meeting him at the 9 yard line is a wild alec herbec with more momentum than a proton in an accelerator thingy. Herbec destroys him and the crowd just goes nuts.
Then, the PA announcer signals the defense on the field and out runs out the lynch mob of 2011. You cannot hold you excitement so you turn around, and scream for everyone to go "OOOHHHHHHHAAAAA"
and you know what? at least 20 % of those people join in. And twenty percent ain't bad.

I'll also miss bbs'ing in another sense. I'll miss goEMAW..... Let me explain. I was introduced to cats bbs'ing through someone else, but things fatty would do are what got me addicted. I checked fans/goEMAW hoping to see fatty posts, (among other things, of course) but I realized today that, about the time I figured out that I really would see less fatty posts, the less I would check this site. And it happened less. And less. And less.
It doesn't sound right saying it out loud, but I feel like I might only come back to relive it all with posts like these.

I know how you feel. I was trying to explain this to my girlfriend but it is sort of difficult when you have an alter ego or something that personifies you a bit to others via an online community. yeah, fatty wouldn't want that. fatty would want us all to help pick up the mantle and carry this thing forward. there will never be another fatty but there will be more legendary posters to come - and we need to provide the bbs'ing environment to help young EMAWs realize their full bbs potential.

I never met F3, I always wondered who the other person in the Wabash video was. I always assumed it was _Fan and I have no idea why. Before I ever made my way over to goEMAW, I used to watch all of Fatty's videos on youtube and it made me very happy that someone took the time to make them. It really made me very very very very very happy to watch them. I am sad that there will no longer be anymore videos from him. I have been reading all of the posts that various people have made about him and restrained commenting because I needed time to think about what I would say. I didn't want to throw up a casual T&Ps, though it would have been heartfelt, I knew that Fatty deserved better. I actually haven't cried about his passing until this moment right now. It made me sad to see someone that had such a huge impact on so many gone so soon. Last night I typed in 'fatty4ksu' into google and saw so many pages filled with results of places he was a member online. I don't know how he did it, but to stay involved in so much, in so many places, is extremely admirable. I always saw some threads on other team's pages with dedications to him. I think what struck me more than the fact that there were threads, is that I didn't see one comment from an bad person saying anything negative. I think that says the most about F3. In a world full of edgy, cruel, and downright hurtful posts in the bbs world. No one made one. With all of the negative things said about people that pass, and for no one to say anything bad about him on rival boards, says it all to me. I'll be honest, there were times that F3's really upbeat and happy threads/posts really pissed me off. I'm not always a happy person, and now that he is gone, I reflect on what made me so angry at times about his posts. He was a truly happy person, spreading sunshine and greatness on all those around him, those that he didn't even know. I realized that my anger came not as his posts, but as his being what I always want to be. He got respect and attention in the best way possible, he did great works, carried himself well, and even with the anonymity of the net, he never forgot who he was. His real life persona was truly shown while bbs'n.
I never met this man, and didn't always love his posts, but looking back I know the fault lied with me and the jealousy that I had for his joy. I once heard that the measure of love is in loss. Me too. Was with my older bro who was in college at the time, think i was in junior high. Remember when the game was well out of hand we sat down and watched the rest of the game from the top of the student section (the student section was probably only half full if that to start the game). Fatty probably wouldn't have sat down.

I saw fatty on my birthday last year. halfway through our meeting he found out it was my birthday, dug into his pants pocket and took out his wallet. searched through it and found a chikfila punch card that had been punched up and was good for a free chiken sandwich at the student union chikfila. I miss him. I never met him and I miss him. Loved everything about his posts. Enjoyed the remarkable craftsmanship of his videos. The way they were put together... He was an artist.
Reading all the stories over the past two days from those of you who knew him or even spent just a few minutes talking to him — man, what an incredibly brilliant and loyal person the world lost. There are really no words that can really do his life justice.

Actually, one of the things that stuck out to me about him was at the OSU pak, he kept asking you and me what we should do for the next play. But everytime he talked to you, he'd say "What do you think we should do, rick daris." It was never Daris, or Rick, always Rick Daris. I would have laughed a lot if the game wasn't so intense.

He created a few fake websites that I remember putting on the phog because he was always banned. There was also one that looked like kstatesports.com announcing Huggins was going to be hired.

At the time his avatar was Lisa Guerrero (sp?) and his tag line was "the very best" I posted what I thought was some witty retort (it wasn't) and his follow-up was "Great job on the latest Catmatt video, guys!!!"

I never met Fatty but wish I would have had the pleasure. I saw him a few times on the concourse at some Cats BBall games but never went up and introduced myself. I thought it would have been interrupting him while he was getting his EMAW on or something. I mean, who would have interrupted Mozart while he was composing?
I wan't sure how he would react to some weird random guy from a message board saying hello but after reading many stories of his generous nature he probably would have been like "Hmm, Brock Landers.....yeah I remember seeing you on there. You're a terrible, shitty poster. But keep at it and maybe you'll get better. Hey, want to share some Dippin Dots? Go Cats!!"
