Title: How exciting would it have been...
Post by: SleepFighter on November 05, 2011, 11:46:55 PM
to go for two with no time on the clock?

I think my heart and my brain would have been in a race to see which would explode first!

No doubt we would have. No way we try to take OSU in OT at their place.

?

Would your thoughts be different if we scored a td at the end then missed a 2-pt conv?

seemed the only option to me.  hoping to win in OT seemed a lot more hopeless than putting it all on one play from the 3.

They couldn't have stopped Klein with 15 men on the field. It would have been beautiful.

No, the meltdowners would've still been melting down. It is what it is.

Plus we are K-State, we don't do overtime.

Naw. I was hoping we'd go for two. Mentally, I don't think I could have handled OT

40 years from now I would have thought back to 2011 Cats and gone, "2 Pt conv FTW..." and smiled to myself.

i don't think the meltdowners melted down much and i do think it would've been a little less if the touchdown was made. jmo though. great game altogether. so much fun to watch. pretty sure it was in hd where i was at.

prob would have been looking for it, so do the jump pass fake run in.  i remember DT doing that last season.

If the ref calls PI on that fade to Lockett (like he should have) we have first and goal from the 1.  Klein scores on the next play.  We go for 2, Klein or Hubert scores on the option.  That's the difference between defeating #3 and Demarcus Robinsoning the last 2 plays of the game.

I had visions of the Xavier game in my head considering all the scenarios.  Both offenses seemed unstoppable in the 4th quarter.  Was an amazing game.
