Awesome! Anyone know what time the game ended? Guessing we must have been trying to get out of the stadium or in the parking lot when it happened. It took me a while to get out of the stadium and from that video, there are definitely still people inside. I was pretty crushed emotionally and rather pak'd at the time, but it is surprising that none of us except maybe bigDcat felt anything at all.

Earthquakes are boring as hell.
-
Having supposedly sat through several "earthquakes" in the last few days from varying distances, I'm beginning to doubt their existence. "Earthquakes" are the new global warming.
-
that felt cool. my first one. felt like my couch was moving around.

OK just wanted to post this somewhere

Was on the toilet and thought I was just going crazy when my phone was just shaking in my hand and it was something I definitely noticed. Then saw Twitter and boom: Earthquake updates.

Well it looks like I finally experienced my first earthquake although not realizing it until later on. Last night I was asleep but for some reason woke up around 1 or so and then couldn't get back to sleep for a while. I was laying there and then noticed my bed was just barely swaying side to side. I sat up and was like WTF is there a ghost in my room or what is going on here. I did not hear any rumbling or notice any other part of my house shaking or swaying and the possibility of an earthquake never entered my mind. Then looking at some of the reports on news websites where people felt it as far north as Manhattan, Salina, Topeka, etc it made sense that I would have been able to feel it as well.
-
You newbies. We get them down here nearly everyday.

Sophisticated detection equipment (me laying in bed) located at the Alma branch of the USGS were able to confirm this morning's tremblor. Early Richter scale estimates are "stronger than the last one I felt."

The earthquake was at 7:02. The birds took off before that. Nothing abnormal in that radar unfortunately.
Just about every species of bird starts to stir and depart their roost during twilight, and there are several species, like red-winged black birds, that all depart roost at the same time. That said, radar CAN detect bird departures from roost during earthquakes, but in this case, the earthquake occurred about 20-30 minutes after a massive, NORMAL morning roost departure

I felt the quake here in Topeka. Was a little odd but I thought earthquake shortly after as the explanation. Confirmed on here.

I would have been about 12 miles into my run at 7am. Didn't feel a thing. In Wichita. I got home and my wife was all like ZOMG did you feel that? Nope. Couple of our picture frames were knocked over but we'll rebuild because we're Midwestern self-reliant. No thanks FEMA.

Didnt feel this one either.

Pretty meh in Wichita I thought, compared to past ones anyway.
Huh? The light hanging over my dining room table was visibly swaying back and forth.

Felt like someone plowed into our building here at work. No shaking just a few sudden jolts.
