I don't usually post often, mainly just lurk, but I feel like this is a worthy post. My mom, Marilyn, is a K-State alum and avid fan. We attended almost every home football game together for 10 years and basketball games for 4 years before I left home to attend Kansas State a few years ago. We have attended over half of K-State's bowl games. Basically she lives and breathes purple and it's created a special bond between us.
Sadly, she was diagnosed with cancer this summer. She had surgery, but it was too late and the cancer had already spread. She just started her chemotherapy and radiation treatment today. She will be attending this weekends game, but it will most likely be the last game she can attend this football season and she will probably miss almost every basketball game.
Anyway, sorry for being so long winded but she would really appreciate her fellow Wildcat's prayers as would I. K-State has always carried the underdog mentality and we have prevailed countless times. I am confident my mom will beat cancer and be able to attend K-State events with me for years to come. Thank you!

this is about sending thoughts and prayers to our lord jesus, don't muck it up with your liberal bigotry.

Your mother is in my prayers, OK_Cat. I have always thought of Oklahomans as good people.
-
I have this weird thing, It's much easier for me to pray for someone if I have a mental image of who this person is... otherwise, I'm just throwing out good vibes to be sucked up by anyone within reach - like someone jumping in front of a blown kiss... anyway, long story short, if you want your mom to overcome cancer, you have to post a picture of her.
-
FWIW though, all joking aside, I'm truly praying for you & your mother right now. Emaw bro. Emaw.

Good luck to marilyn. I hope you are with her every step of the way.

OK_Cat, you really let me down today with the tuck.

FP, Tobias.... you guys are really taking this in a direction that is counterproductive to where the thread should be going. My post was a playful jab because of OK_Cats past with similar topics. He is our brother & his request should be met with an initial amount of jest followed by sincere concern. :nono:

heinz, maybe you're right.
anyone know a good cancer doc in oswego?
-
Sorry heinz. You are right. Next time my prayer circle meets marilyn will be a top priority.
-
I hope there will be a big Texas Bowl in the sky for her.
