All I'll say is that Ritalin is a pill that you swallow, so the drug takes longer to reach the brain. Cocaine is taken in high doses by injection or snorting. It floods the brain quickly with dopamine, which makes it dangerous and addictive.

If you chew, put the Ritalin at the same part of the lip. It dissolves it quickly and goes right to the brain. At least, that's what I've heard.

Posted much more on GPC before 30.  Now rarely; so avoiding it can be done.

First off, never GPC'd it.  Not ever ever.
Second off, my post frequency dramatically improved after 30. Pre-30 I was putting up .25 post/week numbers which is total ass.  Now its something like 5-6 p/wk and I couldn't be happier or more fulfilled.
Third off, I'm old-man style cranky as eff now.  No patience for crap <-- helps w/regulating inner tard levels

Seems we are the same age roughly.  I'm pretty terrified about becoming an even suckier poster as time goes by.  What if the kids start making jokes that I don't get and then I become the butt of said jokes  :ohno:

That's easy, at that point you go to GPC and start calling out college students for not skipping their finals and braving a foot of snow in subzero temp to go watch us beat CU by 80.

Natural progression. Embrace it.

One other thing: Ensure. I hear old frackers love that crap.

I know this because it sounds like I suffer from the same affliction as you guys. Judging by the play that Thomas th Train got in another thread, it sounds like this is a common issue on this site.

As we have learned, message boards are NOT difficult to set up and if you hadn't come along, we would of just moved on to the next board.  This is the way of the internet.  Everybody wants stuff on the internet for free and if they can't find it, they just move on. Think of people as nomadic tribes...they just keep moving until they find a nice place to lay down.  The same thing will happen at the 'other site' as soon as the balance tips as several of their 'admins' get their feelings hurt, just like what happened on this site.

For someone who claims to use linux, and be a computer geek, you would think that they would know how to put their addition at the end of a quote. Dumbass.  But as for me, I think that the vegan diet will keep me youthful and wrinkle free for many many years to come.

Yeah, making lots of money is a pretty great trade-off for losing some hair and gaining a few pounds.

But I am always paranoid about not getting "hip" new jokes/trends. Five years ago, if someone said something that made no sense, I'd call them stupid in five different clever ways. Now, I'm all "OMG, I don't get that? What did I miss?  :ohno:"

Yeah. I've never understood people who thought high school or college was better. So maybe I have to take a little arm extension of my 180 tomahawks these days, but I manage.

Next best thing (maybe even better) will be that semi-retirement phase when you're  completely in charge and only have to work when you want to. Loved those old guys at the law firm that rolled in around 1 with no tie, boat shoes and scotch on the breath.

Outstanding. I can pull it off about twice a month right now, and I never miss an opportunity. Had a conference at Brookings yesterday morning in DC. Finished at 12:30. Spent the rest of the afternoon drinking mimosas in Dupont before rolling past the office to check some email and leave. Felt great.

I had wayyyyy too much fun in college, so nothing is going to ever replace that for me.  I enjoy life now, but it's a spectrum of "enjoy" and right now simply isn't as high on the list as Aggieville, strange ass on a regular basis, and sleeping until noon every day....OH, and not getting fat if I eat whatever the hell I want.

I didn't realize we had all these 30 year olds on here.  Jesus Christ, how do you people find the time to post?  Don't you have church 3x a week/4pm dinner buffets/Matlock reruns/technology to bitch about/good ole days to miss/wishing for your grandkids to visit you to do? :dunno:

lol. I find myself creeping closer and closer to a 6/7 pm dinner every day.

Also, be careful not to trip on my wallet on your way out.

Good thing you got that new hip to lug that wallet around with

Loved those old guys at the law firm that rolled in around 1 with no tie, boat shoes and scotch on the breath.

That's LSOC already and he's, like, 26

Outstanding. I can pull it off about twice a month right now, and I never miss an opportunity. Had a conference at Brookings yesterday morning in DC. Finished at 12:30. Spent the rest of the afternoon drinking mimosas in Dupont before rolling past the office to check some email and leave. Felt great.

FYI headed to Georgetown for brunch and cocktails. May post pics in clams' thread if warranted by dishes. Good start to March.

Liking being 30+ more every day.

What's more pathetic than posting after 30?  Obsessively following a college sports team.  Especially when you're young and should have much better things to do.

Terrible brunch. Was skeptical when the dude insisted on Georgetown (all the best brunch locales are in Adams Morgan and Dupont, but New Yorkers and Angelenos always want to go to the waterfront). Okay cocktails, but the douchebag with us insisted on ordering only Bellinis and Abbeys (and he was paying so... :dunno:).

BONUS FYI: If any here can actually poach a rough ridin' egg without making me barf up Bellinis, you should open a brunch cafe in Georgetown. Would make a killing, IMO.

Well the search function is garbage, so I stumbled on this instead of the sig cocks thread.

Anyway, this was a fun re-read as someone who has been posting after 30 for a few months now.

IMO, if you're doing life right your satisfaction level should look like the stock market.  Some ups and downs along the way but steadily trending up.

I love being the age I am now more than prolly any age I've ever been.  I have more disposable income than ever before, no kids, tons of free time...what's not to like :dunno:

Yeah, before kids and after kids should be the distinction here. Thirty doesn't change anything for anybody, it's what boring people talk about between the ages of 30 and 40 because they're uninteresting, and somehow talking about how hard it is to be "old" seems to placate other boring people. I'm 32 and it's rough ridin' great, having a baby is definitely a change though, way less time to spread around to my hobbies. BBSing definitely takes a hit.

For me it was kids. I pretty much stopped posting when I had kids.
