Let's do this.
I'll start
Michael Pooschke. Big time fumble vs OSU which signaled the beginning of the end of the FFF ksu football era.
-
Rashaad Norwood. Arrested twice in the same day. Gave me hope that we had the MCMW thing down, only to find out we sucked at it.
-

didn't he have a big fumble vs. CU, too? IIRC, we burned LaMark's redshirt on punt team in that OSU game.
Rashaad was a Snyder recruit.
-
Great thread.
I liked Ernie Pierce, remember than sick catch vs. OU in 08?

He was in my group once for a class. Him and Cuba are pretty funny dudes.
-
Devin Anderson (int for TD v ISU, then beat up gf or something)
-
Great thread.
I liked Ernie Pierce, remember than sick catch vs. OU in 08?
wasn't a better throw?
OU 2008..what a glorious game. This is a key point anti-snyder pro-prince people should bring up in defending ron. What a fun fun game.
-
Hands down favorite was Leon "Don't shake the baby" Patton.
-
mastrud seems to always be overlooked. 2nd favorite player in the prince era after freemaw
-
last two were hardly random and were not accompanied by adorable ron-prince type stories.
c'mon people, dig deep here.
-
That one undersized defensive player was my favorite but I also liked that tall Olineman that weighed like 265.
-
John McCardle
-
John Houlik drove through a brick wall for EMAW.
-
Vlad Faustin
-
Blair Irvin - personal fav of mine
-
Tony Purvis, really opened up the McCook, NE pipeline.
-
alesana alesana and him basically costing us a game. can't remember which one it was. he had like 3 or 4 straight holding calls
-

Auburn :dunno:
-
Demetrius Bell - he's so small and quick and from KC, next Darren Sproles
-
alesana alesana and him basically costing us a game. can't remember which one it was. he had like 3 or 4 straight holding calls
yes. auburn fans giffed that like we cared, which we did at the time.
i wish we could care again.
-
Demetrius Bell - he's so small and quick and from KC, next Darren Sproles
fantastic!! i remember this one. mangino didn't even offer him! (this was during the peak of the mangino/ku era)
-
Really, most of the best Ron Prince era stories involve Snyder players, like Matt Boss and Allan Evridge.
-
Jerrell McDaniel, WR
Brian Harris, LB
"Prince is opening up a pipeline in East St. Louis" :kstategrad:
-
Gary Chandler
-
Olu Hall
Most of us thought he was going to be decent, lol.
Also he called me a bitch online..
-
loved prince's ol expertise/philosophy. drinkgern et al.

that was brett alstatt. one play that always sticks out for me is the t-gunn long TD run against L'ville.

yeah, he was on campus for long enough to get an eid and a kstate facebook. That was about it. High "competitiveness".

Correct. Brett Alstatt was a terrible football player/human being.
-
Blair Irvin was one of my favorite Prince-era players. Once saw him perform what looked like a drug deal in the parking lot of the Dara's on Claflin while me and a couple bros were leaving the parking lot. (After he was off of the team already) Anyways, I think he realized that we saw what went down and then he proceeded to follow us in his silver Dodge pickup (with the blue racing stripe) until we pulled into my fraternity's parking lot. He just sat outside the parking lot for a minute and then left. I didn't mind though, the dude was a 4-star that decommitted from Auburn to go to K-State.
-
not a football player, but Winterz was a much better poster during the Prince era. Kid had so much potential, now he hangs out with Haverhill. :shakesfist:
-
Rashaad was a Snyder recruit.
Title of this thread claims that it's in regards to Prince era players, not Prince era recruits.
-
John Houlik drove through a brick wall for EMAW.
Plus with Houlik you got to make the "He saw 3 running backs coming at him and this time he picked the right one" joke every time he made a tackle. :drink: :driving:
-
Is Dante Pinchback still stuck down in TX w/Hogan
-
What was Ron's line to Justin Woods on signing day...'You prob get out of bed running fast' or something like that
-
Danny Hogan
-
Chris Patterson
-
looking back, I wouldn't trade the RP era for anything short of a DoD.
-
Chris Patterson
What should've been...
-
The RB Ron chased out of here who ended up at Toledo.
Battling MAC schools for Clay Belton
-
Chris Patterson
Smoke getting repositioned pre-snap every down was awesome.
-
alesana alesana and him basically costing us a game. can't remember which one it was. he had like 3 or 4 straight holding calls
I just remember meeting up with my bro right after that and yelling back and forth to each other in complete anger: ALESANA ALESANA HAD FOUR FALSE STARTS FOUR FALSE STARTS. We yelled it like 90 times.
-

Can confirm. Was not scared.

That was a lot of fun. His pickup had butterfly doors iirc. Very cool.

Logan Dold for the false sense of hope he provided for our Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) racist fanbase.
-
Who could forget Courtney Herndon?
-
andrew erker. was that his name? "he's just like marcus watts!"
-
Also, Hansen Sekona and his sick play against Montana St.

Remember when he ran for over 100 yards against Texas A&M @ Kyle Field

I've got two words: Sack. Master.
Who never really ever sacked people.
-
Hansen Sekona
This is my favorite so far.

Wasn't it masturd who fumbled late against okie state? I think he had two fumbles and pooschke had one (and recovered masturd's first). I was so pissed that I've also always blamed him for the Colorado game.
-
Xzavier Stewart
oh man, his very first play where he blew up the center (iirc there was a fff video made of this) :surprised:
-

Definitely Drinkgern. My brother went on a visit to a game when he was in HS and Drinkgern was also visiting. He said that Drinkgern's allergies were bothering him so bad that day that he could barely walk across the field and assistant coaches kept asking him if he was ok. I knew we were sunk once he was a Cat.

We were so legit back then. :lynchmob:

How long is the list of Ron's guys that are still on the team?
I, for one, wish Logan Dold would never leave the team; but that's just me.
-
Not a player, but the "QB Guru" we swiped from Elon, Warren Ruggiero.
Didn't he go to Harvard or something that was supposed to make him more qualified to be a QB coach.

Mike "The Nigerian Nightmare" Abana. Was shocked when he chose us over A&M.
-
How about James Johnson? I was so excited when I heard he committed, then I went an looked at his picture....
Great football player and all, but, man, woof.
-
Who could forget Courtney Herndon?
This guy was a beast.
Also, I remember thinking Courtney Greer was going to be a beast after seeing one of Prince's open practices.
-
Xzavier Stewart
oh man, his very first play where he blew up the center (iirc there was a fff video made of this) :surprised:
Mizzou game. It always felt good when the players I hyped came through, even for one play.
-
My most vivid memory is Freeman's first game against ku, and for his first play he passed downfield to Mastrud down the middle. Mastrud had 10 yards on the LB's and there were no safeties in sight. My buddy laughed and said that it meant he'd get a 15 yard gain on a play that should have gone all the way for a TD. My buddy was right--Mastrud was dropped 2 seconds after he caught the ball. Man, he was slow.
-
Antwon moore and his jump sack
One of my earliest photo-shopping efforts (in the series, he was sacking random non-EMAW things):

man, Ron Prince, what a rough ridin' guy
I think he brought out every emotion possible in all of us.

Chris Carney! Remember when he had like 2 pics against CU in 07.
My freshman year, there were about 8 people, including myself, freemaw and Chris Carney, that passed around a bottle of Captain Morgan upstairs during a house party.
It was the weekend before the Wednesday night Louisville game.

How can we forget good ol' Deon Murphy.
-
Jeremy Mack. Had him in my Freshman speech class. He did his entire first speech on why K-State would beat Auburn. Then I was in his group for a group speech and he offered to host everyone for a group meeting because we had "ladies" in the group.
Incredible post
-
I’m taking one to the crib this weekend. That’s the bottom line. They’re probably going to wish they recruited this whole team, the way we’re gonna play this weekend.

Two lasting memories of the Prince era:

You're kidding right? That guy lived on my dorm floor in 2003, when we won the Big 12. Of course I guess he could be considered Ron Prince-era since he was a grey and red shirt through Snyder1's last years.

You're kidding right? That guy lived on my dorm floor in 2003, when we won the Big 12. Of course I guess he could be considered Ron Prince-era since he was a grey and red shirt through Snyder1's last years.
he squashed that football tightly on freemy's first td. he's a prince guy.

was he the guy that was in the porno or was that someone else?
think of him in a porno and then read his player evaluation
Mejia has been a solid camp performer at every stop he has ever made. His top end speed and size may have held him back from some big offers, but he is amazingly quick off of the line and is almost unstoppable in a one-on-one type of situation.

Have you seen it? Dude goes bareback in a pseudo-5some and busts out the Eiffel Tower. Search Dare Dorm, he's the sexy one.

Hella isn't the word I'd use, they do get bonuses but not usually more than a couple hundred each on the pit crew. Jackman is the highest paid/highest bonus guy on pit road though. (not counting the crew chief)

Ex GF lived next door to Antwon Moore and Vlad Faustin in 2007. Nice enough dudes. Vlad was driving a late model Benz coupe and had to help him discover the remote battery in the trunk to jump it.
