Anyone else at game see the sign? Was on big screen for about 2 sec and simply said "FIRE COSH"

If LHC Bill Snyder had been at the game I would have loved it if he would have walked to the student section and personally taken the sign and and had the student removed. Not an acceptable way to express your opinion. Just stupid and extremely rude. Yes, rude. Some people don't understand that concept.

I highly doubt we are gonna lose out on any football recruits because somebody had a fire Cosh sign at a basketball game.
Cosh is a bad defensive coordinator and is incapable of out coaching the opposition with marginal players. That is fact.
He either needs help with the talent or a coDef coord.

Well I guess freedom of speech is out. What is next, work camps to segregate the population. The guy had a freaking sign stating how he and the majority of fans feel. If Snyder was there and saw it, I hope it pushed him if ever so slightly to satisfying the kids wish.

Yes. Freedom of speech is out because the limitations only apply to the federal government.
You realize that if you walk into a McDonalds with a sign that reads "Ronald molests collies" that you will not be eating a happy meal.

Big difference between expressing your opinions about Cosh on a discussion forum, and holding up a fire cosh sign during a basketball game at which you are suppossedly there to support KSU.
The football recruits in attendance are just icing on the dumb ass cake.

By holding up a fire cosh sign you are supporting ksu. He obviously wants the football team to succeed not settle for a crappy defense. Just stating out loud what everyone is thinking. Obviously ksu supports free speech cause they allowed him to stay.

I don't necessarily fault the guy for making that sign... he has the right to do it.
What's pathetic is that our athletic department employees allowed it to be on the jumbo-tron.
The camera man had to put his camera on it, and the worker(s) in the truck had to see it an approve that it got put on the jumbo-tron.
I realize people's frustrations with Cosh, and they are warranted. But IMHO it is embarrassing that the sign was shown as it was today.

If this is the reaction to a sign at a basketball game just think about the reaction to a "Fire Snyder" billboard. I don't care whether it would hurt the cause, help the cause, or unite the shirt tucks to the point that they declare LHC Bill Snyder the King of KSU Football making Sean his hereditary heir to the throne. Think about how upset the tards would be. I bet some of them would cry.

Yeah, pretty much cements this as the direction that needs to be taken. Billboards it is.
Once the billboard gets up, someone needs to twit pic it to KK and Jack Harry. Get a little free pub. They would love to bring this up.

Wow, this thread is like the Energizer Bunny - it keeps going and going.
What the heck, I'll chime in my opinion. I think the sign is fine. Big deal. If any football coach is there, then maybe they will finally get the message about how the "waters aren't calm". If any recruit is there, maybe they'll ask our coaches "so it seems like fans are upset with KSU's defense, what are the coaches doing to correct it?".
And finally, I remember back in 2008 when fans were GETTING A PLANE to drag a "Fire Prince" banner behind it for one of the football games. That was actually going to happen and I was about to press the "donate" button myself to that cause the same day news was released that KSU had fired Prince.
So, if the university and athletic department doesn't want to hear complaints from fans about having one of the worst stinking defenses in the country last year, and one of the worst stinking defenses against the run in KSU's history, then they'd better take action. Fire Cosh or not, that's their call. Don't fix the defense, then people will rightfully complain. Happens at schools all across the country all the time.
--------------------------
"If you care, I can relate to you. If you'll work hard, I can relate to you. If you want to do right and be a good person, I can relate to you. If you care about academics and will try to be the best student you can be, I can relate to you. If you want to do some things contrary to those, then I'll probably have a hard time relating to you." - Head Coach LHC Bill Snyder (11/24/2008)

Re: 'Fire Cosh' sign in student section. Reply
