we're going to get stuck in a conference with a bunch of mid majors, the Oklahoma schools, Baylor, and the nortards - CU. they'll end up calling it the Prairie League. :runaway:

I like the line that implies CU belongs with research powerhouse schools like Standford and UC Berkley

Welp...looks like CU has realized how awesome they really are. Knew this day was coming, just didn't figure it would be this soon.

does cu really want to join a league where they'll be mocked and belittled as mt. rednecks?  the elite bay area schools can be ruthless.

godspeed if they can take it, i guess.

Offseasons in football are so predictable.

<insert team> is going to join the <insert conference>

In terms of research prestige, I'd say they fit in much better with Texas than with Cal and Stanford.

I am really going to miss those guys.

Everything about them is great . . . 1 of the 2 only real towns worth visiting in the Big 12.   We beat them often.   Listening to them whine about our standards after we beat them  is always good for a laugh.   Cool, sexy people.   Looking at the Western, KS inbred ku bandwagon fans in the stands at the CES sitting next to cool, sexy CU people . . . the list could go on for days.

J-Mart needs to put the word about K-State leaving for <inset conference name here>. Would be hysterical to see/hear the reaction of other media, meg boards.

If they join the Pac-10 they can say goodbye to their two guaranteed sellouts of KU BB and Nebraska FB.  Otherwise, there aren't enough CU fans to fill the stadiums.  I'm sure CU will start following their Dan Hawkins-coached team to Pullman for that big matchup with WSU.

This is a ploy by CU and MU to extract more money from UT and OU.  If the Big 12 would switch to equitable payouts, then these threats would probably stop.

They'll never fill the hoops arena again but the FB stadium is always full. They averaged 50,000+ in 09.

And we would start getting threats from OU, UT to leave the conference.

Texas, unlike Colorado, would be a huge loss.
