but it's big 10 refs????

So a team from Kansas is screwed? Or does the basketball excellence of KU garner alternate treatment?

Michigan's coach lost this one. Zone defense brings you back from a 10+ deficit to go into OT, and then you go back to man-to-man. I'm pissed about this.

KU could easily have 3 losses right now. They still really haven't played anyone.

every team no matter how dominant has close games.  The 08 ku team was taken to OT by USC for instance and barely won a few other non-con games.

Good teams manage to win close games more often than lose them and no matter how good your team is you are going to have some bad nights in a 30+ game season especially on the road.  That one major reason why college basketball is so entertaining, anyone can beat anyone on a given night.

Sure good teams have close games. But this year, every BCS team KU's played, all unranked and middle of conference pack at best, has played them close. We'll find out what that means soon enough.

The USC team KU played in '08 was leaps and bounds better than this year's USC team. They had OJ Mayo and were a 6 seed in the NCAA tournament. Plus, the game was at USC iirc.

you guys just like to try your best to knock down others so you don't have to face the truth.  I get it and I understand why you do it but we all know what the reality here is.

You seriously not concerned about KU's performances to average teams?  To most Michigan, USC, UCLA, Arizona equals Colorado.  Certainly none of those teams are better than Baylor, Texas, Missouri, A&M, OSU, and Kansas State.

nope, not concerned at all.  why should I be?  this ku team is a solid top 10 team and performing like it should.  They have tons of room for improvement but have done better than expected so far.  The wildcats on the other hand are melting and don't show any signs of improvement so I'm much more concerned about KSU than any other good big 12 team.

who were they expected to lose to in the non-con? murdering Valp can't possibly count in your expectations?

I think most people expected 2 losses roughly in the non-con for this KU team.  I'm not one to pick which games they should lose looking at a schedule, that is more of a football thing isn't it?

memphis comes to mind off the top of my head.  (not bcs but a good team full of talent and potential)

Ku also beat cal, a bcs team, by 15 points

While doing my due dilligence on the phog's 60 page michigan game thread I came across some real gems including several pages of serious discussion about the tension of the rim.  Those people take it to a whole different level and I have to say I am alittle jealous.

Congrats on your losses to Duke, Florida, UNLV, and Oklahoma State.  I can only hope that KU will get there someday.

some people equate rim tension with the rim mic volume.  I will say that every shot that touched the rim was LOUD as hell on the broadcast and both teams were missing in and out the whole game.  I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the tension of the rim though.

Congrats on your losses to Duke, Florida, UNLV, and Oklahoma State.  I can only hope that KU will get there someday.

Facts:  Michigan sucks.  KU's ooc schedule sucks.  KU BBall isn''t as good as its fans think it is (factually impossible to be that good).  AFH is an awful venue.  K-State BBall isn't as good as it was supposed to be.

Spin:  The only ranking that matters is the one at the end of the season.  <-- brought to you by phog.net in November

Forecast:  KU WILL lose at ISU and NU this year.  <-- reiterating my prediction from a couple weeks ago
