that having a player like Dom Sutton around in a game like yesterday would have been nice.
But hell, why keep guys like Dom Sutton around when you need to make room for an Art Alvarez special.
-
i don't think sutton scores 19, but maybe he keeps jan-paul from scoring only 10 instead of 22? and it's nino that took sutton's spot, not freddy suckassprilla.
-
it bothers me how we have regressed defensively based on personnel rather then scheme being broken down. Dom would have helped a lot on D yesterday.
-
Yes, because when I think of mental toughness & discipline, Dominique Sutton immediately comes to mind.
Who is to say Dom wouldn't have checked out too and contributed more momentum to the snowball of suck that was the second half of the second half?
-
It all depends . . . yeah Dom was another attitude problem at times, but having him come of the bench for 10-12 minutes for Gruds probably wouldn't have been a bad thing. Plus, who knows, maybe this is the year all of his rim outs off of penetration start falling.
-
I'd rather have Dom than not have Dom.
-
I'd rather have Dom than not have Dom.
I'll add to this by saying that I'd rather have Dom for one year than Nino for 4.

You know that already?

I'm not so sure. I think people are looking back on Dom with increasingly rose-shaded glasses as the team struggles this year. His O was a disaster at all times, and by the end of last year, his D was meh.
-
His O wasn't a disaster at all times, and an engaged Dom with a good attitude would have been the best defender on this team by far.
-
Sutton playing 13-15 minutes a game for this team would have good. Any more minutes than that and i think it would be hurting our halfcourt offense (which right now already has its issues)
But no way do a take 1 more yr of Dom over 4 yrs of Nino.... or any of the frosh

How many posts did you have last season destroying "headcase" Dom? A lot.

Didn't know that was the trade-off??? I thought Nino was going to prep school, so...we could have had both???

We didn't branderson Dom to make room for Nino if that is what you are asking.

Don't like to seniors with lots of experience leave. Hope we don't see any more of it.

He would have fouled out in about 5 minutes yesterday.

Hmm...thinking of starting a thread..."I think we can all agree if Mike Beasley woulda stayed in school, it would have been nice"
I mean jfc. Can we just have a master thread for Dax and his "little points that nobody gives a crap about" thoughts.
Also, still want to enjoy some wings with ya Dax. Keep that in mind.

Yeah, that's a great rough ridin' talking point. Beasley-Bonafide McD's AA and real one and doner, as compared to Dom "not a part of Frank Wooldridge's merry band of 'right fitters' Sutton. Outstanding comparison . . . . wings?? Sure, as long as you buy.

an engaged Dom with a good attitude
Wasn't going to happen and had nothing to do with the staff.
