and it's NOT jacob pullen. I'm so disappointed with the heart (or lack of) he's playing with this year. There's no one out there to pull this team up when we need it.
-
It is clear on the court that Jake does not give a damn.
-
We are a pretty mentally weak team. Have an 8 point lead around the 10 minute mark, give up a little run, but instead of fighting through the last 10 minutes we fold like a tent. I mean we gave up 41 points through the first 29 minutes, then 35 points the last 10 to 11 minutes. That is ridiculous.
-
I was glad to see Frank sit him at the end...he shows NO desire.
-
this team is made up of a bunch of mental and physical pussies. which is weird considering it's basically the same bunch from last year. i don't know who castrated them in the off season.

Denis was our testicles.

1 person improved during the off-season...and that was Rodney.

He seems to be more concerned with looking like he's not trying (walking slowly, scowling) when things are going badly (which is pretty much all the time). McGruder is our best player. He seems like a good candidate for "fiery leader" (just needs to work on fiery part). Too bad Frank left Rodney out for ~5-8 crucial minutes late in the 2nd half.
-
If you watched today, every time McGruder left the game, Okie State went on a run.
Truth is, we miss Sutton. He wouldn't be starting over McGruder but we wouldn't suck so much without him in the game.
-
We are going to suck some ass on the road in conference
-
talent is more important than leadership. we dont have a lot.

this. we shouldn' t really expect to win a road game in conference. which puts us in the NIT.
-
McG left in the crucial stretch because he had 4 fouls.
-
Pretty disappointing that we couldn't hold that last 8-9 point lead. You could tell the foul trouble would hurt us, especially without Curt. We weren't good on the defensive boards either.
We got outscored 37-15 over the last ten minutes of the game, and we let multiple leads dwindle.
The killer instinct just might not be there.
-
Truth is, we miss Sutton.
If Sutton was still on this team we might has well give up on offense altogether when he would be in.

I really don't agree with the logic that it's better to keep your best scorer on the bench to avoid...being forced to put him on the bench later. Would have liked to see him back in the game when it became clear that no one else could score. Page played with 4 fouls and had an impact in the last 8-10 mins of the game (even though he eventually fouled out).

Guessing Sutton averaged more points last year than any of McG's backup are this year. And more rebounds and drew more fouls and a better defender. Yeah, he wasn't a shooter, but he was valuable.

We replaced Sutton's anemic offense with Asprilla's. I guess Dom logged more minutes, but still.
-
We miss Colon.
-
We miss Colon.
We miss Colon and Sutton.
We don't piss away a 9 point lead to end both halves with either of those two in the game on defense.
-
As crazy at it sounds Colon>Asprilla.
To those saying we won't win a road game, let's not get stupid. I'm disappointed with Jake and our lack of leadership but I'm not going overboard. The truth is, Jake is not a point and he's not a leader. he's Robin and we are without Batman.
