I found this on a coaching website when I was looking for different defense ideas. I wonder if we hire Jim Leavitt if he would bring back these ideas. After all he was the one of two DC along with Mike Stoops in 1996.

Leavitt was working out of a trailer in Tampa, FL in 1996.
Bob Cope was the DC in 1996. He is still dead.

If there's one thing we need, it's a 15 year old playbook. Like fine wine, playbooks get better with age.

Stop the Run.
Stop the Pass.

if a team can't run and can't pass then it's basically mumped. you find me the guy that can stop both attacks and i've found the next football coach at k-state who i would recommend (highly recommend).

I think we should hire a coach who can stop the run, stop the pass, and also run and pass the ball offensively. We would be unbeatable! :pbj:

I think we should hire a coach who can recruit players that are good at blocking, tackling, catching and throwing. :driving:
