Title: Good Grief...
Post by: Havs on December 31, 2010, 03:32:06 AM
I realize I just posted a thread a week ago about how I need to improve as a poster... but you guys are sucking it up too. Your meltdown is completely pathetic tonight. You guys don't even care anymore. I've put a lot of time and thought into how to be the best poster I can  be but you guys are really slacking off. This crap really chaps my ass. Its stuff like this that pistols are made for; tell your wife and kids to go get ice cream so you can  :goodbyecruelworld: Angriest fanbase in the country my ass... you're making Iowa basketball fans look like the most dedicated fans in sports.

He is not criticizing the board for melting down.  I think his point is that we should be melting down as any normal message board would be after a call like that and us being the "angriest fanbase in America" and all.  The rest of America is outraged at the ref's call, and rather than bask in the glow of all the love and sympathy thrown our way, people around here are like "Meh, we would have lost anyway, so it didn't matter.  LHC Bill Snyder sucks, so we need to fire him."

People who get pissed about shitty calls are stupid. After that flag was thrown there was a 0% chance on anything changing. Did Syracuse do make gestures in the same game? Yup. Do the military teams salute after every TD they make? Many times - yes. Did I see a QB make the throat-cut sign in another bowl game in the same night? Yes. Making 1st down arm gestures, pointing up to the sky, stomping off after a sack - it all happens and we all know it. Why was such an innocuous gesture called? Who knows. Havs, you saw our mumped up defense allowing every play go right by them all night... THATS why we lost, long run  and long pass both basically untouched for TDs. To me the crap call was more just a  moment then anything else. Personally, I'm saving my nuclear meltdowns for bigger games.
