Completely what if question. WHAT IF we won a national championship in basketball, how much do u think this would affect our shitty recruiting? Would we consistently be top 25 recruiting classes for once? thanks :powerespect:
-
It would likely improve, but it would still be disappointing.

thats the story of the past 6 years though

What if the staff would have landed Burks and Dixon? We likely would be defending NC, but neither of those that hot of recruits.

I guess this is as good a thread as any to put this in, but what impact do you think a school's beat writers can have on recruiting positively or negatively?

I think national media and all TV is more important than beat writers.
I would think that the beat writers are at the bottom of the influence barrel.

get rid of that practice facility were building and just give that money to the recruits dads without their son "knowing"

I don't mean in terms of exposure for a player. I'm more referring to a creepiness factor. Influence is probably the wrong word.
I'm just spitballing ideas for why our recruiting has been steadily mediocre for the last several years in all sports outside of the works huggs and friends did while he was unemployed.
