It was hard enough to watch this team in the little apple; but the big apple, hope your going to enjoy other things while you're there.  By the way, I think there will be other opportunities with OB lead bowl teams. ;)

Now it may be about as historic as the Sprint Center...

Not famous. Not historic.

Now, if Springsteen plays a show at the new Yankee Stadium this summer? Instantly famous.

Quote from fan:
I'm still disappointed in the pick. Its going to be snowed in, most people won't make the game so the stadium will be damn near empty. Those that do go will have horrible seats. Its expensive to get there, if you can. Its expensive to stay there. The weather suck. Bowl games should be played south of the mason-dixen line. End of story.

Unless its KC. Can you imagine? The KC Masterpiece Bowl? Mmmm...I get hungry just thinking about it. Hand out free pork sandwiches to everyone that comes to the game. I should put that together.

Looks like I'm not the only one who's disappointed.  :bawl:

Dixen?   cac.  effing try not to sound like an idiot.

Can't help it if a fan doesn't spell correctly, but you get the point.  Here's an update to ponder:

The unique nature of Kansas State's bowl experience presumably sank in the moment K-State's charter flight landed in New York on Sunday.

While other teams were conducting walk-throughs in the sunshine and preparing to unwind on the beach, K-State's plane was plowing through several inches of snow deposited by a massive blizzard pounding the Big Apple, where the Wildcats will face Syracuse in the Pinstripe Bowl on Thursday.

The worst of the storm hit Sunday night, forcing the postponement of the Eagles-Vikings game in Philadelphia and causing the cancellation of hundreds of flights.

The forecast called for 10-15 inches of accumulated snow by Monday afternoon, with up to 20 inches possible in the New York metro area.

"Unfortunately, our city is directly in the path," New York mayor Michael Bloomberg said Sunday at a news conference.

The Wildcats arrived despite the snow, allowing them to stay on schedule in their preparation for Thursday's game at Yankee Stadium.

"I like cold weather, but not freezing cold," quarterback Carson Coffman said. "I think New York is going to be pretty freezing. If we get cold weather, I'd kind of like a snow game. I think that would be pretty cool."   :flush:
