We really missed Wally in our losses to FL and UNLV. Even a mediocre version of what Wally will eventually be would have given us some much needed muscle in those games...especially FL. Yeah his game wasn't pretty last night, but he is so much more physical than our other 5's. Freddy is a joke. Also really liked the way Devon played...loved the way he drove the hoop...wished he would have gotten more minutes, he clearly brought some energy and defensive intensity to the game. Our defense continues to be incredible (we gave up 10 easy points last night when we decided to go zone late, big deal)...when our shots fall, we will be competitive in any game. I said before this game, I love where this team is at right now...glad we finally played like we are capable.

That was "recovering from personal problems" Wally not "precursor to honorable mention all big 12" Wally. Totally different people.

Wally shoots 6-18 from the floor one game and he instantly wouldve been the savior for every other :flush:

6-18 would have been deadly shooting in the FL game. And funny you can only focus on shooting percentage....a person can contribute an many other ways to help a team win.

I'd assume when you miss a crap ton of layups, you are in pretty good position for offensive boards
