Title: Miami writer's rebuttal to Meek stories

Not sure why this is an issue anymore.

Actually, what's bullshit is dominating a state basketball scene by breaking every rule in the book. Martin deserved to be fired from Miami High -- and college fans deserve to know what really happened in 1998.

Where is Martin's wrong doing specifically linked?

I mean I can add 2 plus 2...but if you are going to make damning accusations. I want the proof.

The commentators just rip the story up anyway.

This article is trash. The two biggest lies are that "Frank Martin was busted cold" and that he "quckly turned Miami High into a powerhouse".

I read the entire 1998 article. No where does it indicate Frank Martin cheated. The story incriminates some boosters. It also states that it is up to the principal "to make sure that everyone of his or her students is legitimately enrolled." The rival coach even stated it was not coaches or players recruiting, it was boosters. Nothing points to Frank Martin as a cheater.

According to the 1998 story, Miami high was a powerhouse long before Frank Martin got there. 1 home loss in 13 years. Multiple state championsips.

So if Frank was such a cheat at Miami High, why was he immediately hired and allowed to coach at Booker T. Washington H.S. also a FSHSAA member school??

Kind of seems strange that would be the case for a guy who "broke every rule" and was "busted cold".

I hope Frank cheated his ass off, we need more of that around here.  Just the sneaky gray area crap that all the other elite coaches pull off.
