people that enjoyed this game more than any other this season. you maybe should reconsider your emotional investment in kstate bball. you probably were an '89-'06 kstate bball fan for a reason, and that reason is probably that you like cheering for underdogs more than winning. it's ok to reallocate your non-performing emotional investments.
basically pretty serious, not joking.

My God, thank you sys. In your face everyone except me on the board tonight.

no I think you missed his point, it was pretty much that when you're good moral victories suck, doesn't mean that this loss was meltdown worthy. Fortunately for most of us the world has plenty of shades of grey.

Great post, for many reasons.

Who the eff said they enjoyed that piece of cac? I've never been more upset about a sporting event since the Roberson/Fiesta Bowl fiasco.

Yeah, Pullen is amazing. He was able to make 18000 people simultaneously all wish they had their $40 back.

Expect nothing less from the "just happy to be here" people in the K-State fanbase, which is essentially about 98% of them.

This game can make this year more like last year, IMO. No more retards thinking we should expect a FF/Conference title.
Last year was incredibly fun. I have no problem with this.

i don't really even know what my point was. poor posting by me. i do still think it's kinda weird that a significant proportion of kstate fans (gpc inclusive) apparently really enjoyed the game last night.

Say what you want, but this team actually looked like they cared about winning for one of the first times all year. Because I care about winning too, I was happy to see the effort. If the team played like that with Pullen/Kelly, we win by by 6-8. If we knew how to take care of the ball and make layups we win by 10-15.
Don't get me wrong, the loss really stunk. We made enough boneheaded plays to lose us the game. That hasn't changed, and it needs to desperately. At the same time, our enthusiasm for the game was high, and I liked that part of it.
:dunno:

I think you would understand it more than anyone. I couldn't watch the whole game, but it sounded like they were playing hard, which seemed to be your #1 gripe about the team earlier.

Frank's MO has been that JYC comes before good offense. I liked the JYC-ness.

yeah, that sort of goes with my confusion about my point.
i guess if were to try and explain myself, i'd say that i'd enjoy seeing the team play hard as a predictor of future success and as evidence of improvement (though don't get me wrong, playing hard and with high intensity is really high on my list of what i like about teams, and a big part of why i prefer college bball to other bball brands). whereas it seemed like a lot of the posters just really seemed happy to have an undertalented team that that the could cheer for when they simply competed. as i said in the post, it was sort of serious. i think a lot of people really would be happier cheering for underdogs rather than teams that win more frequently. i probably kind of trend that way myself.

sys,
are you misinterpreting? I have no idea since I didn't read the boards, but speaking for myself... I enjoyed the crap out of parts of the game where I thought we were going to win because going in I thought we had little shot in the game without jake/curt/wally. I mean I was ultimately disgusted that we could not pull the game out and that we have another stretch where we will miss key players. That doesn't mean I did not get sucked in to the game and talked myself in to some fun story lines at the half.
