the trip was great...players slept most of the trip...Wally brought home made cookies on the flight...Wally is in very good spirits...practice went very good....Frank told me after practice that this was one of our best practices in a long time....franks old HS coach was at practice....I talked to all the players at practice and they are in very good spirits...at dinner before practice the players were all joking around...at practice you will not believe how well the whole team gets along...Jake wanted to get back to the hotel to watch NBA....I talked to Franks mom at the hotel..she is a wonderfull lady...the trip has been fun....good night from Plantation, Florida

the Renaissance Plantation is where many visiting college football teams stay when they play Miami.....Renaissance would like to see KSU football next sept..the team shoot around is at BandAtlantic Center this am....we have our pregame meal at 11:45am and leave for the game at 2pm..team leaves for Manhattan at 9:30am on sunday............Frank has some wonderful family and friends coming to todays game....I met several of Franks family and friends last nite at the hotel and the practice at Nova Southeastern University (while we were practing their was a womens game playing next to us....I have been to alot of team away practices over the years..and..this was the best..most intensive practice I have attended over the years.....John Currie was at practice last nite..we are so lucky to have John as our AD...........Frank was very happy after practice last nite...Wally was very intense and played very hard last nite....our team has very good chemistry ..which is a good way to start the big 12...Curtis and Jordan are sure good friends ...I talk to all the players I can at practice and the hotel and I sense a real family working for one purpose "WIN Games" and improve everyday....the bus ride from chicago really made our team a stronger team..i.e. we let stranded motorist on the bus so they oculd stay warm and have something to eat...the team worked very hard on the bus to prepare for finals....we may look back at this bus trip as one of the reasons this team became a stronger family and a better team..a..i.e. KSU cares about people...

oh it gets better fellas...
remember the funny TV commercials about Jimmy John's bringing food to a guy in a car accident ?...well guess what food we ate on the team plane on our flight to Florida ?...yes...it was jimmy johns subs...........I asked one of the B-ball coaches what KSU player would be a good player on our football team...the answer was Irving..............and....Irving is sure a nice young man.............the whole team is very polite ...the hotel employees have told me several times that our players are very polite and they enjoy having our team stay with them.....one hotel big wig told me they have had some unruly players stay with them over the years and thus they really appreciate how our players behave themselves....

all the players are thinking positive.......a win over UNLV is all we need to get things moving again.............I remember in december 1987 we lost to Purdue by 30+ points and later in the season we played Purdue again in the elite 8 and we won....we will get better as the season progresses...I can personally tell you that Frank and the team felt terrible about the Florida game but they will not let that game effect our future games....we will learn from the Florida game.but we will not let it negatively effect our future........the team will watch UNLV film today, lift weights and practice...................we will be ready for UNLV

JFC, that guy sounds like Cripps with all his bizarre upbeat-ness and his boldly optimistic predictions that are sure to be proven untrue once the next game is played. Also, if we beat Purdue in the Elite 8, wouldn't that have meant we played in the Final Four in 1987? Hang a banner?
