I'll bet it's drugs.  A huge suspension of like 8 players for failed drug tests or some crap.

Doesn't necessarily mean anything big is going to happen. But naturally people are going to pound Mizzou, and it would be foolish of Vegas to leave it on the board and let them. Let's say you bet Mizzou -1. Then, Iowa suspends 20 players (as rumored), including several key players. Then the line moves to Mizzou -7. Well, now you can bet Iowa +7 and win both ways on a Mizzou 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 point win.

The only thing announced is that DJK is off team; Jewel Hampton (RB) is transferring, and Adam Robinson (RB) will not play in the Insight Bowl.

Additional rumors say there was a team-wide drug test and over 20 players tested positive for illegal substances. Press Conference with Kirk Ferentz and Gary Barta set for 10am tomorrow in Iowa City. I've heard rumors that members of staff are being fired, and even one (that I don't believe) that says Kirk will step down as head coach. Maybe Iowa State will have a shot against them next year...  :crossfingers:

Yea DJK has already been indicted, and he is being prosecuted for possession and dealing of drugs. Some of the drugs found are drugs dying cancer patients take once they are past morphine stage... People are speculating that DJK outted quite a few Hawkeye Football Players on his departure from the team and that was the first domino to fall in what may be a very rough couple weeks/months for the Iowa Football Program. There is definitely a drug culture in Iowa City; much worse than anywhere else in the midwest, and I really don't think Kirk gives two shits about it, and that may hurt him in a huge way. I understand that probably 60% of college football players smoke marijuana, and use cocaine, but this has become an annual thing for Kirk almost. This may become the 3rd worst situation in regards to players in drug problems or rape problems in his time at Iowa. Moral of the story: MC=MW... no one gets caught when the criminals are winning. Iowa didn't live up to fans (extremely high) expectations this year and this is what you get now. This is an example of Hawkeye fans setting up their team for failure by expecting too much and hammering them when they don't live up to their expectations.

Better than being tested during the regular season when the outcome of the game actually matters.

The lesson here is that you'll never really get nailed on drug use if loads of others from the same "group" are in a similar situation.  They can't sink the entire group.

Thus supporting our theory that there is no such thing as a hooker and blow party that is too big.

Paddle on back Moldville aka FEMA Memorial Basketball Court, work on it and maybe come back and give it another try in a few weeks.

Thanks . . . kind of.

If it gets big enough, hookers and blow will be the law.

Ladies and Gentleman... Rob Howe is the example of Hawk fans everywhere. Extremely arrogant when winning; completely victimized when going through rough times. If you guys ever want me to hate you... you have some work to do. Iowa fans are some of the worst in sports. They have never won a National Title, but yet they act as though they have ten. This podcast is fun radio for anyone from coast to coast; hope you guys take time to truly enjoy a crybaby Hawk fan on 1460 KXNO in Des Moines.  http://bit.ly/dKffQF
