From December 13-17 fans can donate an unopened toy at the Booth Family Hall of Athletics between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and receive a voucher for two free tickets to an upcoming men’s and women’s basketball game.

Fans will have the opportunity to choose between the USC, UT-Arlington and UMKC men’s games (limit two tickets per person while supplies last).  The voucher is also good for two tickets to the December 19 women’s basketball game vs. SIU Edwardsville

Seems like a pretty good way to give back to the community while students are on winter break.

Fantastic information and reply.

I've been to several winter break games at Duke, of course I had company tickets, but there were 1000's getting in with just a bottle cap.

I guess I thought it was interesting that the only sold out game is the Kansas State one  :ck:

Yeah cause Johnson County is soooooo far from Lawrence. Then again, it does get pretty windy on K-10.

remember when they made fun for our "gas station" promotion?

Beems is right, at least this is for charity.

Pretty sad they have to get something in return for helping the community; but, that is the same community that hates homeless people.

The gym quit even putting up a sign.  Basically a full time free supply at front desk.

Ate dinner at the Salty Iguana last night. They offered to take $10 off our bill and give us a coupon for $10 off our next visit if we would just take 2 free ku basketball tickets off their hands.

The worst part of this is that you actually ate at Salty Iguana. Do you just absolutely hate having flavor in your food?

Pretty much every school does something for charity or for the general good of society. I guess some people just suck at life...

KU has had the highest attendance numbers in the conference for 24 straight years, and ranks in the top 10 nationally on an annual basis.   KU averaged 16,433 fans per game last season, which is 133 over listed capacity.

Do you have the porn star/criminal attendance figures or do we have to wait for the FBI results?

How hard is it to have the best attendance when all the tickets are free?

The same folks doing the counting didn't know 17,000 plus tickets had gone "missing".

maybe the fire marshall is to blame for all the empty sections.  I bet the ole armory is actually north of 20k seats and the fire marshall just ropes off huge sections that people can't sit in bringing it down to 16k.
