We could use one of these guys at K-state. Not really but the amount of money donated would be nice.

I lived in Dallas right when they were trying to pick up the pieces and get football started again at SMU. There was still all kinds of drama in the aftermath, and Dallas still with 2 major newspapers it made for interesting times. Plus you had all the other stuff going down in the SWC. Needless to say the SMU folks were pissed because in their mind they didn't do anything more than what most of the SWC, OU and the SEC was doing.

I'm sure they were right. Also: that 30 for 30 was fantastic.
Also also: who was the booster who gave Frank Murphy the car? That's a start. :dunno:

Would it be worth it? A couple yrs of elite elite status and top recruits and a possible title, and then get the death penalty and end up likes smu's program?

$2000 beemer...a group of GCCC/KSU booster pooled money to buy his "girlfriend" a car...stupid Frank put the car in his own name.
a GCCC/KSU booster who was approached but declined to contribute to the fund ratted everyone else out.

you think the people at auburn think it's worth it? They are packing their stadium every weekend, on television every game......NCAA will never issue death penalty again, because of what happened at SMU. They have had the opportunity to do it numerous times, and haven't done it. They are not going down that road again. Heck, kids should get cash anyways. Lets be the leaders!

Havs, not even the Governor of Iowa thinks about the entire state of Iowa more than 3-4 times a year. Why would this board be any different?
