Title: Frank on BTL
Post by: Johnny Thunderbone on December 09, 2010, 04:28:14 PM
Frank on BTLw/KK.  Completely unsarcastic. Highlights:

-Jake deserves to play a game near hometown. Loyola was one of the only schools that was willinh to do a home and home for his senior year.
-Not happy with any wings but HotRod. Russel on his period, but would ultimately be his guy to alternate with Jake at other wing.
-Sprads humbled by Duke's greatness. Good listener and ultra-competitive. Will be fine.
-Wally also on period, needs to realize how awesome he is.
-Big 12 venues are "ridiculous". Interpret that as you'd like.
-"Duke knocked us around like a step-child." :surprised:

Wally doing good in practice.   :fistpump:

It seems clear to me that a) Frank likes Wally, b) he plays well in practice and c) for whatever reason he can't translate that play to the games.  This isn't like Kelly or even Samuels.  This is more about Judge's confidence and Frank/staff trying to figure out what buttons to push to get him to perform up to his abilities in games.  We'll see if they can get it figured out.

Money and poon are usually good motivational tools, somebody get on it

Poon has ruined more careers than any other individual item known to man.

And was forced to retire because other players didn't want him on the court..

Perhaps not the best example but poon was the underlying cause of his downfall..

I was talking about the players who spend too much time worrying about their GF and not enough time on their game.

This destroys developing careers, rather than existing careers.
