Free Throw instruction from a guy who shot 94% Reply
I have never understood why at least a few players don't shoot 'granny' style.

Would pay a lot of money to see JHR break that out next game.
-
Would pretty much guarantee an appearance on SC after every game.

Someone here should probably send Frank a copy of his video. (http://ballbag.com/drtomsmakeeveryfreethrowdvd.aspx) Apparently it works*
After one coaching session an assistant coach made 68 free throws in a row. He made 98 in a row the next day and six 3-pointers in a game.
The Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners went from 62% to 83% in one game and maintained an 80% free throw average during their playoff games.
A struggling Long Beach State 49er improved from 40% to 85% at the line during one season.
A group of junior high players attained a better than 80% free throw average with only one week of practice.
No idea why the assistant coach was in the game though.

I dunno about this guys, I don't think this Dr. Tom character is an actual doctor....
-
As a college player, Dr. Tom was twice All-American and the nation’s high scorer. His plan to become a professional basketball player was interrupted by World War II. He spent four years in the U.S. Navy. Later, he was offered a two-year no-cut contract with the Lakers but turned it down to become a podiatrist.
:horrorsurprise:

Bold Prediction: Our Bigs combined will be shooting above 50% by the midpoint of the conference season.
