Bad Things:
- Jamar's passing...LOLably bad.
- Jake thinking he's "feeling it" after making one jumper in a billion tries
- Our team not collectively knowing that you can't move your pivot foot...we could have been called for about 13 more travels than we were.
- Quezbert...just in general.
- Our zone offense. Thank god McGruder's switch was set to On, or it would have been even more .
- Our full court press. Not sure why we're so bad at it since we're custom made to be a pressing team, but whatevs; it's atrocious.
- Completely ignoring Kelly in the offense (even against m2m) in the 2nd half.
- The attractiveness of Wazzu's team, fans, citizens, etc.
Good Things:
- McGruder saving our asses.
- Kelly saving our asses first.
- Frank's "we'll make FTs when we need to" mantra having a flagship day.
- Help-side D was 10x better overall tonight than it has been.
- Spradling's oop
- Not losing our cool, etc., etc.
- The attractiveness of our team, etc.
-
Bad Things:
Love ya Stevie but that broadcast team might be the worst I can recall doing a KSU game. Maybe I'm just tired and cranky but holy balls that seemed brutal.
-
Sometimes it takes a ragtag group of mutants to remind us just how good we have it. Could you imagine having to root for that motley crew WSU trots out their? Cougars? More like Ewwwgars.
-
agree with some of your post
help D was either amazing or absolute crap. more often amazing though.
frank said he didn't play kelly much because of his defensive rebounding, that would attribute to his lack on inclusion in the offense.
-
Bad things: The announcers every game this year will talk about Spradling being the pride of "Shawnee-Mission" KS similar to how much we had to hear about Darren Kent's golf swing every game.
Good Things: How much better our fanbase looks compared to that crap up there in Washington.

completely agree.

Bad thing, Asprilla's knuckle ball bunnies.

Fair enough, I didn't hear the post game. But while Kelly was in the game, we still might have tried getting him the ball, you know, on occasion.

Yes, if only Frank had played CK more than 31 minutes he might've been out there long enough to get involved in the offense. :blank:
-
Kelly is simply not in good enough game shape to play 30 minutes of high energy Kelly at this point.
-
Yeah, dude was sucking some serious wind like 2 minutes into the game. Also- it was mentioned somewhere around here that Kelly was telling Frank to get him the rough ridin' ball during a TO.
-

That's your only comment in this thread?

Nothing much more to add/subtract. Good job.

Loved the validation of Frank's FT talking point BTW.

Loved the validation of Frank's FT talking point BTW.
You know Frank was chuckling on the inside as those four FTs went in to seal the deal.

just so happened to be the only 2 good FT shooters on the team though... not that i disagree with his point because when it matters they should be the ones at the line...

Pullen was only shooting like 60-some percent coming in to tonight's game. Also: Sprads was a true frosh playing his first college road game.
"Only 2 good FT shooters" is a relative term.

did pullen not prove himself enough for you last year? and sprads is clearly a good FT shooter. name a player on the team you would have rather had at the line than either of them?
-
Irving looked effing terrified when he bricked his. Samuels solid.

Carbon copy of last season, CK was the poster child of getting better as the season progressed

You missed my point entirely. That is why it's relative, because neither "should" have been automatic in that situation tonight due to the reasons I stated, but they hit them when it mattered most.
Which is why Frank was totally validated.

where did i say either was automatic? they "should" have been the two at the line. they are the only two good free throw shooters on the team right now. they came through.
-
they came through.
EXACTLY, said Frank.
