Title: Which ERP system do YOU work with?
Post by: Pete on December 02, 2010, 04:08:28 PM
GTFO of this thread if a) you do not know what an ERP system is, b) you do not work with an ERP system, c) you are merely a disgusting "end-user," or d) you work with POS system that does not rise to the lofty hights of being a true ERP system.

Rick,

ERD's are an integral part of any database ("Entity Relationship Diagram"), but they are merely PART of how we understand an ERP system.  Great question. go cats.

Wow.  You just barely, BARELY, get to call yourself ERP.   If ERP systems were the major leagues, you are the Pirates...maybe Royals.  Maybe.

That price, on it's face, is obscene, but really bad when you consider this:
Quote
US$140 billion annual budget and serve nearly 80,000 users once it is complete. Some 15,500 users are now live on the system.

Firms with $1B in annual revenue routinely spend about 1% of annual revenue on a really sophisticated implementation.  The Army is hovering around 2%....one percent more gets pretty iffy when you reach the B's.

We're looking at Epicor and DDI System's Inform.  I'm leaning towards Inform, just not fond of Epicor...

SAP.  We don't use the CRM module but are slowly transitioning to use it.  We keep losing our internal SAP guys to do consulting firms.
