Title: Bill McCartney
Post by: theKSU on December 02, 2010, 12:53:05 PM
"It was never about me doing it again," McCartney said in an interview with The Denver Post. "It was about setting the table for a black man to come in (as head coach). And he (Mike Bohn) hired one. Now, give him a chance."

Colorado's original "A" list, sources said, consisted of LSU coach Les Miles, Air Force coach Troy Calhoun and former Oregon coach Mike Bellotti.

Is Les Miles connected to CU somehow?  This seems like us reaching out to nick saban or urban meyer.

The Promise Keeper dude.  But reading the full article in context it sounds like he wants a black coach to succeed at CU.  Like give someone a fair shot instead of have a black guy try to clean Hawk's mess and then scapegoat him when it goes awry.

Let's just say "conflicting reports" on the job offer to Embree.  Sort of like it's Patterson! but with a real newspaper.

He coached at CU for a while back in the 80s.  CU fans think he still cares about them.  It's really kind of cute.
