Title: cam sham!
Post by: unleashthemob on December 02, 2010, 06:55:28 AM
Take notice obs.....as long long as you pay the dad without the kid's knowledge, its ok. I mean for crying out loud, its not like doing a work out with Deon Sanders!

it's such a stupid argument - cam knew about it, because he said he wanted to go to MSU "but the money was too much" or something along those lines.

I think the NCAA is making it pretty clear that no big time athletes are gonna be barred from playing as long as they didn't play on a pro team in another country before the start of their NCAA career.

The kid wanted to play ay MSU, did a about face and went to Auburn because daddy said to...honor thy father, "what's a son of a preacher man going to do"?

It's not hearsay when one side admits that they asked for money and the other side (MSU) says that they were asked for money.  I guess the only unconfirmed statement out there is Cam's about the money being too good at Auburn, but seriously, everyone "knows" at this point Cam's dad got paid.  Isn't he now refurbishing his church or something, too?

I really can't believe they're letting this kid play.

As far as the NCAA is concerned, no money was exchanged.  Only discussed.  Yes it is BS, but it seems to be their reasoning to let him play(other than not letting TCU play for the NC).

I think there will be more action to occur later.  However, though as sports fans we know something should be done, the legal issues mean investigation will continue before a penalty occurs.

It may well be that he is ineligible for the bowl game.

Also, we don't know what the FBI is doing in this mess, and what they've told the NCAA.

I have absolutely no faith or trust in the NCAA.  I know it is very biased toward "name" schools in how penalties are assessed.  However, it may well be that there is more going on than we outwardly see, so I'll give them a bit more time.

Why would the FBI give a eff?  No laws were broken.  If the rumor is true, all that happened is a few boosters donated money to a church.  The law doesn't care who is the pastor of said church, or why the money was donated.  Can't even come up with tax BS because it was a church.

It is silly to look at this from a legal angle unless there is additional info that hasn't been leaked.

The FBI is involved in investigating the person/persons that gave money to Cam's Father's Church when he committed to Auburn. The FBI is the one that brought this to the attention of the NCAA from some reports on a crazy Alabama fan's message board.

One thing for sure is he were leading Ksu to a NC, believe me, he would not be playing! Just like ku, some teams have a golden ticket, while others are considered a example!

Seriously.  There would have to be some sort of laundered(Lew'ed) money involved for this to be a legal issue.  Otherwise, there is nothing any law enforcement would concern themselves with.  The FBI is not an arm of the NCAA.  NCAA rules are not laws.

Should of gave daddy a $200,000 towel boy coaching job like brown gave Manning's daddy, least it wouldn't of looked like they were hiding something

Auburn is what K-State would have been if we would have rich ass donors, paying players to pay, and would have not been dumbasses after 98 and 2003. Auburn is the red headed stepchild of the SEC and is hated quite a bit for being successful. Just like we were.

I don't have a problem with paying good players, but I would be really pissed off if I found out were were paying anybody on the current roster.
