Hate them. Want out. Have the elite iPhone and it still isn't worth hanging around. Has anyone had any success in getting out of the contract? I know the thing about the fine print on the last page of your bill re: contract changes - but any and all tips are appreciated.

Threaten them with violence.

Get on the phone and start screaming. Don't take no for an answer. Tell them their service sucks and then tell them all that went wrong (also make stuff up.) Ask for a manager if necessary. Keep asking to speak to different people until you get an answer you are satisfied with. Once you've done that, ask for the person's name and get their extension number. Then go to your local store, tell them who you've spoken with, what they said they would do for you, and then get it done.
I've never done this, but I've seen my mom do it a handful of times with Verizon. Works like a charm.
Then again, everyone in my family still uses Verizon. :frown:

My folks got out of their ATT contracts awhile back, before they changed to Cingular/back to ATT. Pretty sure my mom just said they were unhappy with the quality of reception at their house (a lie) and that they would be taking their business elsewhere. She had to do this several times before and after they had switched over to Sprint. It worked- no early termination fee and nothing on their credit reports to indicate ATT had negatively reported them or anything like that.
